We are excited to announce the newest speaker to join the Penguin Random House Speakers Bureau: Hahrie Han! Her book UNDIVIDED goes on sale today. 📝 Hahrie Han is a political scientist and a leading expert on social movements and human transformation. She is Inaugural Director of the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University and the faculty director of the P3 Research Lab. 🎤 As a speaker, Hahrie inspires us to think deeper about leadership, mobilization, and the true essence of democracy. Combining data-driven research with inspirational delivery, she shows how ordinary people can have the power to effect change. Her speaking topics include: >The Science of Social Change: Building Effective Movements >Revitalizing Democracy >Bridging Divide and Finding Belonging 📘 Her book UNDIVIDED goes on sale today. In this book Hahrie looks at the members of a megachurch in Ohio struggling to bridge racial divides in their community. She chronicles the story of how a group of parishioners developed a program designed to foster antiracism and systemic change and how four participants—two men, one Black and one white, and two women, one Black and one white—were fundamentally altered by the program. As each of their journeys unfolded, in unpredictable and sometimes painful ways, they came to better understand one another, and to believe in the transformative possibilities for racial solidarity in a moment of deep divisiveness in America. Find more information about Hahrie Han’s work and speaking here: https://lnkd.in/gkAgCpNn And reach out to us if you are looking for a speaker on social change, leadership, or building inclusive communities. #prhspeakers #Leadership #KeynoteSpeaker #HahrieHan

As we celebrate #PrideMonth, we are honored to work with speakers who facilitate important conversations around identity and belonging year-round. We asked C Pam Zhang what Pride Month means to her. Pam is the author of the critically celebrated novels "How Much of These Hills Is Gold" and "Land of Milk and Honey." A thoughtful speaker, Pam talks to audiences about the joys and possibilities of using marginalized identities as a creative starting point, rather than a constraint. From fictional dystopian futures to unrecorded historical pasts, she celebrates how characters long considered marginal - queer, immigrant, impoverished, of a non-dominant race, etc. - can unlock powerful new ways of seeing the world. Find out more about Pam’s books and speaking here: https://lnkd.in/dkp4XC3i #prhspeakers #PrideMonth #inclusion #storytelling

We are honored to work with Emily Ladau as well as many other passionate speakers and activists who share their personal stories and equip organizations for inclusion and allyship during #DisabilityPrideMonth in July and all year round.
Are you ready for Disability Pride Month in July? Time is flying and it's already just around the corner! Although I can't emphasize enough how essential it is to recognize disability year-round and not just once a year, I'm also always excited for a month of celebrating disability history, culture, identity, and community. Honoring Disability Pride Month is such a valuable way to learn and make progress toward fostering an inclusive culture. Whether your organization is just getting started in the learning process or already well on your way, I'd love to support that effort. Speaking, educating, storytelling about disability are at the heart of what I do, so if you're planning an event, it would be a joy to join! But what's most important to me is that you find a speaker who is the right fit for your organization. Penguin Random House Speakers Bureau (which I'm so lucky to be represented by) put together a great list of speakers to consider for Disability Pride Month (including Lachi ♫, Sara Hendren, John Hendrickson, Tara Rae Moss, and Maya-Camille Broussard). Here's the list. Check it out, and if you'd like to work together, please reach out and let's make it happen! https://lnkd.in/eTzVbYts (Image description: Headshot of me, a white woman with curly brown shoulder-length hair wearing glasses and a purple sweater dress, sitting in a wheelchair. To the side is a quote from me, "If the disability community wants a world that's accessible to us, then we must make ideas and experiences of disability accessible to the world.") #DisabilityPride #DisabilityPrideMonth #DisabilityInclusion #DisabilityRights #DisabilityAdvocacy #DEI #DEIA #DiversityEquityInclusion #Accessibility #A11y #LinkedInTopVoices
