In this episode of Mentors on Fire Podcast, we speak with Larry Borodkin, Vice President at PRADCO, where he works as an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist. He has a Doctor of Philosophy from the The University of Akron. PRADCO provides coaching, group training, pre-employment screening, and promotional assessments. Larry discusses his work with "safety forces", which includes the fire service and law enforcement. We talk extensively about the pre-employment process and the development of assessment tools. There is so much work that goes into the development of pre-employment and promotional assessments and Larry is an expert in his chosen profession. His decades of experience are evident in his ability to discuss complex topics in a digestible and understandable way. It was incredibly interesting to listen and learn. He also discusses the importance emotional intelligence. Larry Borodkin left PRADCO for a brief period to become an HR Manager, an experience that benefited him in his return to his work at PRADCO.
