Calling everyone in the Elon area! 📢 Our Kappa Delta friends at Elon University have added a donation drive for Western NC to their fundraising event tonight! Donations can be dropped off at Elon Community Church and can include canned food, diapers, baby formula, wipes, toilet paper, and other necessities.

Items like Baby Food, Baby Formula, Diapers, Food, and Bottled Water are needed. This resource from the United Way of North Carolina lists drop-off sites and ways to donate. Please share and support how ever you can!
At this time, individuals are highly encouraged not to travel to western NC to attempt their own volunteer services or to drop off donations. Most roads and highways to western NC are closed and the infrastructure is very dangerous. It is best to collect donation items at an approved donation drop off site in one’s town or county. For a list of those drop off sites and donation item needs, visit: https://lnkd.in/e6RHtrQ2 #HurricaneHelene #Donations #Supplies #Team211 #LiveUnited #uwhelpsnc

Positive Childhood Alliance North Carolina is standing with all our partners, friends, families and children affected by Hurricane Helene. Our hearts go out to everyone in Western North Carolina and those impacted in Rocky Mount. We know there is a lot that will need to happen as recovery begins and many families and children need all the support they can get during this. We will be sharing resources from our partners and communities across the state for ways those in need can access support and ways you can help if you are able. We know that Concrete Supports and connections are critical during difficult times and PCANC will be uplifting these resources as much as possible. Please help share these resources as they come and know that we are here to support in any way we can! ❤️

Just like a house, a sturdy or fragile foundation affects all the development that follows. Positive childhood experiences build a strong foundation for children to become thriving members of our communities. Child maltreatment is a preventable, solvable, public issue. Want to help spread this message? Check out our various toolkits for raising awareness of effective child maltreatment prevention strategies, including our Toolkit for North Carolina healthcare providers! https://lnkd.in/eqtXCrfq
