📣 Today's escalating geopolitical tensions promote an elevation of security challenges that are increasingly complex and put Europe's defence readiness to the test. The conclusion? European Commission decided to act and unveil the European Defence Industrial Strategy as a pivotal step forward for the EU's defence capabilities. 🛡️ The European Defence Industrial Strategy not only aims to enhance the competitiveness and readiness of the EU's defence industry but also foster greater cooperation and integration. 🌍 Action is needed, but “think slow and act fast” is paramount, more than ever it’s critical to reflect on some fundamental aspects: ➡ Look beyond ready-made products and procure relevant solutions that are tailored to the unique requirements of the EU's armed forces, leveraging their insights for greater efficacy. 🚀 ➡ Implement a strong leadership that effectively links the defence industry with military operations, fostering a unified strategy for Europe's security. ✨ ➡ Combine leaders who can inspire with managers adept across various aspects of management to ensure cohesive and efficient efforts towards common goals. 🎯 But also be aware that Strategies are implemented throughout projects and in that sense, some critical success factors also should be taken into consideration: ✅ Promote a high maturity in Project and Benefits Realization Management. ✅ Establish high-performing Project Management Offices (PMOs) at both departmental and strategic corporate levels. ✅ Cultivate high organizational agility. ✅ Adopt best practices of stakeholder and risk management. ✅ and Implement project success metrics that prioritize quality and adherence to the strategic objectives.
