A heartwarming story comes from our global collaboration with the Make-A-Wish International, dedicated to bringing joy to children with critical illnesses worldwide. Porsche Argentina recently participated in making 8-year-old Maitena's dream come true. Her wish was to see and touch snow for the first time. Maitena and her family enjoyed a magical six-day trip to San Martín de los Andes, Argentina, where they experienced snow and created memories together. Porsche has set a goal to fulfill 356 wishes in over 20 countries by 2025, in honor of the 75th-year celebration. Fundación Make-A-Wish Argentina has granted over 7,000 children's dreams since 2002. We are proud to be part of this meaningful initiative that brings hope and happiness to these courageous children. Last week Porsche Latin America was part of the International Media Drive for the new Porsche 911 in Malaga, Spain. This event marked the opportunity of our iconic sports car to be tested by the media along the beautiful landscape of Andalucia and the Circuito Ascari. The 911 underwent extensive development and testing to create the perfect concept. The result is a powerful and lightweight T-Hybrid system that significantly enhances its performance. Incorporating a newly developed electric exhaust gas turbocharger, this innovative system features an integrated electric motor positioned between the compressor and turbine, instantly accelerating the turbocharger and boosting the supercharging pressure. The electric motor also serves as a generator, providing up to 15 HP (11 kW) of electrical energy extracted from the exhaust gas flow. The valve-less electric turbocharger allows for a single turbo instead of two, guaranteeing faster power delivery and greater responsiveness. #Porsche911 #Innovation #PorscheLatinAmerica #THybrid
On June 14th, a group of clients and automotive enthusiasts gathered at the La Chutana race circuit, south of Lima, Peru to celebrate Porsche's 20 years in Peru. The 'Porsche Track Day 2024' allowed over 30 participants to experience the thrill of Porsche's German engineering under the guidance of professional drivers Ignacio Espinoza and Giacomo Orlandini. They focused on sports, defensive, and safe driving techniques on the challenging La Chutana track, testing various Porsche models including the iconic 911, 718 Cayman, Boxster, Panamera, and the electric Taycan. Over 100 bike enthusiasts, including some of our valued customers in Costa Rica, recently embarked on an exhilarating journey from Porsche Center San José at dawn. The route took them through the beautiful Rio Oro in Santa Ana, all the way to the small town of Palmichal de Acosta. Leading the pack was our iconic Taycan, Porsche's first 100% electric vehicle, keeping company to the participants throughout the journey. Our motto for this event? We recently organized a training session at the Volkswagen Academy Training Center in Puebla, Mexico. The training focused on Basic Engine Repair for Sports Cars. There were seven representatives from different markets including El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, and Curacao. Our dedication to maintaining the high-performance standards of Porsche's sports cars, even as we transition towards electrification, remains unwavering. It is essential that our technicians possess the knowledge and skills to repair vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE). The user-friendly system allows consumers to customize their supercar and place an order immediately. The possibilities are nearly limitless, allowing for personalized models in both aesthetics and technology. The Rally Maya, renowned as a significant event for historic cars, emphasizes the appreciation for classic car racing. It was held the past weeks in the welcoming region of southeast Mexico. Spanning five stages, the race covers more than 1,257 kilometers across breathtaking landscapes on the Yucatan peninsula, a region where beauty and tradition meet. The participation of Porsche here reflects our respect for classic cars and the richness of our heritage. For over 75 years, Porsche has been synonymous with sportiness, innovation, and design. We proudly celebrate our legacy at the Rally Maya.
