The 68th Porsche Parade in Birmingham, Alabama. What an event! A highlight was the curated collection of Porsche sports cars during the Concours d’Elegance kicking off the event, followed by electrifying Porsche eBike Test Rides where Parade guests had the opportunity to explore Downtown Birmingham on two Porsche wheels. On Wednesday night, Porsche Design Timepieces, the official timing partner of Parade, hosted the annual TSD Time, Speed, Distance Rally awards banquet, featuring a captivating panel talk with Mark Porsche who gave insights about Porsche’s deep timepiece heritage and a glimpse of what’s to come. The dawning of a new era for Porsche Design Timepieces. Porsche Design is solidifying its commitment to watchmaking with the purchase of a new building in Grenchen, Switzerland, a renowned watchmaking hub. This historic building, formerly the headquarters of the Eterna brand, will become Porsche Design's new watch manufactory, offering more space for innovative developments and high-quality timepiece production. The site will include areas for product development, quality management, after-sales service, logistics, and modern offices, with renovation set to start in October 2024 and completion expected by the third quarter of 2025. This expansion reflects Porsche Design's dedication to excellence and meeting a growing demand in the watch industry.
