"A Porsche isn't just a fast car. Porsche is a community.” - Wolfgang Porsche Last weekend, Porsche employees and team members in #Atlanta gathered at One Porsche Drive for our annual #Oktoberfest celebration - the highly anticipated event each year when employees and their families come together to share the sights and sounds that make "OPD" a spectacular place to work and play. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the fun - from turbo charged experiences on both thrilling tracks, a little friendly competition for bragging rights in the simulator lab, to enjoying some of our favorite vehicles on display throughout the building and in our Classic car show. Thank you to all who joined us to make this Oktoberfest the best one yet... and a special thank you to those who worked behind the scenes to make this spectacular event happen. #PorschePassion #Oktoberfest #Atlanta

Illuminating trivia for a new week… The "eyes" of a #Porsche have always set our cars apart, but did you know they have hidden depths? Depending on configuration, our headlights can contain over 16,000 individually controlled micro LEDs lighting the road ahead. Why so many? To ensure you have the best vision possible as darkness draws in - as a result, nearly 2,000 feet of the road ahead can be illuminated when on high beam. They also provide reassurance, adapting to your speed, dipping the high beam and even swiveling automatically to light the corners ahead. And, of course, they look beautiful both from afar and close up — once even serving as inspiration for the creation of a spacecraft intended for a different galaxy far, far away… We’ll continue to shed some light on our brightest ideas in future posts (albeit with the promise of fewer puns).

This month marks the 40th Anniversary of Porsche Cars North America, Inc. becoming a sales organization in North America. #Porsche cars arrived in the US long before this, however the formal sales organization that became PCNA as we know it today began its journey in #Reno, Nevada in September 1984 before, some 14 years later, in 1998, the company relocated to Hammond Drive in #Atlanta, Georgia. Today PCNA proudly remains in Atlanta, located at One Porsche Drive – the address of one of our extraordinary Porsche Experience Centers – the other being Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles, California. Both allow us to share the our passion for what we do, and our incredible cars, with thousands of visitors every year. “This anniversary is a great chance to revisit PCNA’s presence in the America in the mid-eighties – making us realize just how far we’ve come in the intervening four decades,” said Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. “In North America, it started in 1950 with importer Max Hoffman placing the first order for Porsches in the U.S., but the long-term plans that led us to where we are today were set in place with the creation of Porsche Cars North America. This was a special moment and is one worth celebrating.” To every single one of our customers, our incredible network of independently owned and operated dealers, on-the-ground teams, employees past and present, and to anyone who’s ever dreamed of getting behind the wheel of a Porsche, we express our gratitude for your support over the last 40 years. #PorschePassion #DrivenByDreams #PCNA #40thAnniversary For more information please visit our newsroom here: https://lnkd.in/emSWGKQC

"Porsche Full Service returned in full force, kicking off with the launch of the all-new 911 Turbo 50 Years edition at the picturesque Barns at Cooper Molera. From there, we brought Porsche Full Service to The Quail and unveiled a one-off 911 Speedster – a dream turned into reality thanks to the Sonderwunsch program. But Monterey Car Week was about more than just the cars; it was about connecting with Porsche on a deeper level," shared Ayesha Coker. Vice President, Marketing at Porsche Cars North America

Let me tell you about this year’s Monterey Car Week – sunshine, clear skies, and Porsche passion! ☀️🌊 Porsche Full Service returned in full force, kicking off with the launch of the all-new 911 Turbo 50 Years edition at the picturesque Barns at Cooper Molera. From there, we brought Porsche Full Service to The Quail and unveiled a one-off 911 Speedster – a dream turned into reality thanks to the Sonderwunsch program. But Monterey Car Week was about more than just the cars; it was about connecting with Porsche on a deeper level. From our loyal customers and dealers to partners, fans, and friends of the brand – each interaction added to the rich tapestry of Porsche’s car culture. These personal connections are the heart of what makes Porsche so special, enriching our shared passion for performance, heritage, and innovation. As we celebrated our rich history and looked towards the future with the all-electric Macan and Taycan Turbo GT, one thing was clear – this is just the beginning of many more meaningful connections with Porsche. ⚡️ Thank you to everyone who poured their passion and expertise into making this event a success. Porsche Classic, Porsche Design, Porsche Lifestyle. PCNA: Public Relations, Product, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and CRM. What better way to connect with those who have #PorschePassion than a weekend at #MontereyCarWeek.

Last weekend I attended Monterey Car Week for the first time as Porsche Cars North America 's new EVP and COO. It was an extraordinary experience!   Over a few unforgettable days I met dealers, colleagues, friends of the brand, Porsche owners, and enthusiasts – the enthusiasm and deep affection for our cars was what struck me most of all. As a company, we never take this for granted and is a big factor in the energy we put into our work.     While in Monterey we celebrated half a century of the 911 Turbo by revealing a new model, the 911 Turbo 50 Years, and even unveiled a new (yet old, at the same time) Sonderwunsch car, a 911 (993) Speedster – created for Luca Trazzi. Congratulations Luca! I also had the pleasure of attending the screening of ‘Edith: Volcano Ascent,’ – which follows the record-breaking journey of Edith the 911. The atmosphere in the Theatre was so special. Special thanks to the PCNA team (most especially Ayesha Coker) who made this wonderful weekend happen. And, to all those who welcomed me during Monterey Car Week – thank you!   To create your own 911 Turbo 50 Years: https://lnkd.in/dG4DPahr To follow all the news from Monterey (and beyond) click here: https://lnkd.in/dGY6B2mp

I’m writing this as I travel back to Atlanta after a wonderful few days spent in Monterey. The cars, the people, the weather, the views … so much to absorb! Above all, it was fantastic to meet so many new customers, reconnect with existing ones and share the passion for Porsche along with hundreds of enthusiasts. Once again, it was the deep rooted love for Porsche in America that was so apparent and inspiring to experience. We shared anecdotes; everyone’s Porsche story being slightly different – from those whose cars are almost part of their family through to those driving a Porsche for the very first time to the owner of a Cayman GT4 who has apparently just passed 160,000 happy miles. Every story, every interpretation of Porsche Cars North America was unique, just like our cars.  And of course there was news to share via our PR team. We celebrated a half a century of the 911 Turbo in style – revealing a new model, the 911 Turbo 50 Years to mark the occasion (much more information on this amazing car is in the link below). We also hosted the debut of a wonderful 911 Speedster – created for Luca Trazzi, an Italian customer with exceptional taste. The car was finished in 'Otto Yellow' – named after his dog. And yes, Otto the dog was present and seemed to be enjoying himself. I also had the honor of hosting the premiere of ‘Edith: Volcano Ascent’ – a heartwarming documentary by TangentVector, Inc. and a story of resilience, risk and bravery played out to a packed theater. The audience reaction will stay with us all for a long time – a special moment. Well done to my colleague Shelby Akin who was producer on the project. We hope to share the documentary more widely soon. To everyone who made me feel so welcome, and who greeted me with such warmth over the past few days; thank you. Our presence in Monterey was the result of many months of work and a huge team effort – I am grateful to all of my colleagues from across the business who gave it their all to create a program with great care and genuine love for what they do. However, congratulations must especially go to my colleague, Ayesha Coker, and her Marketing team – and thank you! At #MontereyCarWeek we’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of the #911Turbo by revealing something extra special. The “911 Turbo 50 Years” is based on the current 2025 911 Turbo S (992.1). It combines performance and luxury with timeless design touches from historic 911 Turbo models. In addition, there is an optional Heritage Design Package, along with an exclusive wristwatch available to owners of this special 911. Porsche is limiting the 911 Turbo 50 Years to 1,974 units globally in honor of the year the 911 Turbo was first shown.   The 911 Turbo 50 Years is available to order now and has an MSRP of $261,100 excluding $1,995 for delivery, processing and handling. It is expected to reach U.S. Porsche Centers late in 2024.   You can learn more in our newsroom :https://lnkd.in/gxWwWbz5    #Porsche #DrivenByDreams #911Turbo

A film four years in the making … The world premiere of a new documentary will take place at #MontereyCarWeek. Created by TangentVector, Inc. and support by us, “Edith: Volcano Ascent” reveals for the first time the story of a small team aiming to surpass a 16 year old record that’s regarded as one of the toughest to beat. The filmmakers had unprecedented access to the team from the creation of the very first car through to the highs and brutal lows that were part of a four year adventure as they fought the altitude and the weather to go higher than any earthbound vehicle in history. The story is told by those who were there, and shares the teamwork, the engineering curiosity, the support and determination that drove them to achieve something special. “We have to make stories to keep the heart of the company alive.” The film debuts Friday, August 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Golden State Theatre in #Monterey.
