Thank you to our sponsors Comcast, Asian Bank, Fulton Bank, TD and Cafe Tinto for the delicious refreshments and to everyone who attended the annual State of Hispanic Business forum yesterday! We had an incredible discussion about multicultural marketing and the influence Latinos have on today's economy. The "Influencer Economy" today is worth about $250 billion according to estimates from Goldman Sachs. Whether you're looking to elevate your business or personal brand or become a content creator yourself, our expert panel shared some incredible words: "Own your story! Get legal advice so brands don't take advantage of you. Treat your social media like a garden. You have to nurture your content to adapt to new social trends, algorithms, new followers, and more!" Read the USHCC's full statement below: Tony Hinchcliffe’s poor attempts to make a joke at the expense of Puerto Rico, Latinos, Hispanics, and immigrants, among others, were vile, insulting and irresponsible. His racist rhetoric weakens our social fabric, reinforcing division, and worst of all, damaging the communities driving our economy. The United States cannot afford to let prejudice stifle progress. Puerto Ricans and Puerto Rico are important members of the vibrant Hispanic community in our country; they contribute to the $3.6 trillion Latino GDP, which is also the 5th largest economy in the world. No joke, there are more than five million Hispanic-owned businesses in our country, and Hispanics are nearly 20% of the U.S. workforce today. With a population of 65 million, these significant contributions to our economy and our global competitiveness are no laughing matter. The USHCC has been proud of our record to stand up to defend and advocate on behalf of the Hispanic business community for more than 45 years. We remain steadfast in our commitment to work on both sides of the aisle; however, we cannot remain silent on the hateful remarks made on Sunday in New York City. –Ramiro Cavazos, CEO & President, United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

☀️ The immigrant population in the United States has been growing due to the increase in families already in the country. 🔸 As a result, they represent a significant portion of the population and contribute economically to the nation. 🗳️ Therefore, it is important for everyone in this community to exercise their right to vote and choose their candidates responsibly. This is why Jennifer Rodriguez, President & CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, emphasizes the importance of voting: 👊🏽 “The power is there to take. Immigrants in the city [of Philadelphia] and immigrants in the state [PA] could really be the turning point of this election if we help them realize how important it is to vote and how meaningful their vote is to the outcomes of elections at the national level.” 🎥 Lamont Gibson @director_lng 🎤 Interviewed done at Committee of Seventy “Pathways to the polls” event Gabriela Watson-Burkett Every Voice, Every Vote

Facts stated at today's LatinaLifestyle event: Latinas are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the U.S., a reflection of our resilience, creativity, and determination. Latina-owned businesses are growing faster than any other demographic. Between 2007 and 2019, the number of Latina-owned businesses increased by 40%, far outpacing the growth of other women-owned businesses. These statistics tell a powerful story, but the real impact is in how Latina business owners are creating jobs, opportunities, and stronger communities.
