When Broley, a 9-year-old senior dog, arrived at Jacksonville Humane Society in October 2023, his age posed a challenge for his adoption. At Seattle Veterinary Outreach's El Centro Clinic, Mara, a charming French bulldog, arrived with her owner, Claudia, who noticed Mara was experiencing intense itching. With the assistance of a Spanish-speaking volunteer, Devon, and under the care of Dr. Meghan, Mara was diagnosed with a chicken allergy. She received the necessary medications and chicken-free dog food from El Centro's pet food bank. Through our Incubator Grants, we support initiatives like this, providing crucial assistance to pet owners in communities with limited or no access to veterinary care. Our partnership with Seattle Veterinary Outreach helps pets receive essential care, enhancing their quality of life and supporting their families.
