PSP is inviting members of the Texas Permian Basin community to join in securing financial support from the Texas Department of Transportation. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has unveiled its draft 2025 Unified Transportation Program (UTP) that charts the course for the next decade, with $3.9 billion in funding allocated for the Odessa District. The projects funded by the UTP will greatly benefit residential and commercial traffic, guaranteeing increased accessibility, improved travel experiences, and heightened road safety. As proud residents of the Permian, we have a crucial stake in securing this financial support. The Commission is accepting public comments until August 5, 2024, and we ask that you join us in voicing support for this much-needed funding. More information and a link to participate can be found here: https://lnkd.in/gF3QCZVg

We are proud to partner with Permian Road Safety Coalition in helping the Permian Basin’s youth learn real world safe driving skills through Young Driver Safety Clinics. This week, 30 Eddy County students completed the clinic in Carlsbad, New Mexico, which included a half-day of training with world-class instruction from SKILLS Driving professionals and a visit from Eddy County’s State Rep. Cathrynn Brown! Instructors teach correct responses to real-life driving scenarios, such as the dangers of distracted driving, situational awareness, and using the ABS braking system to the driver's advantage. #KeepingthePermianSafe
