About us
In South Africa, you will find our products across the country at breakfast, lunch or dinner. At the gym or on the field. In the office or on the go. We refresh, restore and rejuvenate our consumers all day, every day with our key brands, which include Weet-Bix, Simba, Liqui Fruit, Lay’s, SASKO and White Star. Since PepsiCo first entered South Africa in 1997 with an investment into Simba, our operations have reflected a strong commitment to South Africa’s people, communities and economy. We employ approximately 12 000 South Africans across multiple sites including three corporate offices, over 40 production facilities, and approximately 70 distribution and warehouse facilities.

Today we welcomed a fresh cohort of aspiring entrepreneurs to our PepsiCo-Preneurs learnership programme! Over the next 12-months, 56 participants aged 18-24, will complete a New Venture Creation learning programme with practical in-field training, facilitated by Afrika Tikkun. During this time, these budding entrepreneurs will receive expert guidance to build and accelerate their businesses, selling nutritional PepsiCo South Africa and FUTURELIFE®️ products at affordable prices in local communities. Upon completing the 12-month programme, participants will also have completed a recognised NQF Level 4 Marketing qualification. The first Pick n Pay Smart Shopper winner nominated Groenberg NGK Primary School in Wellington. The school will use the R100 000 to upgrade its rugby facilities, including a community field that will serve local teams and foster future rugby talent.
