Megan Jacobson, A.C.E., past chair of NPMA's Leadership Network Council (LNC), and owner of Steve's Pest Control, said the mission of LNC is giving back. Academy attendees this year were asked to bring a pair of socks for Grow Healthy. More than 1,700 socks were donated to the organization.

National Pest Management Association President Faye Golden welcomed Academy attendees to this year's "summer camp," where keynotes, learning labs, networking and engagement opportunities will take place over the next few days. Samantha Forrest, ACE spoke on behalf of the premiere sponsor, Corteva Agriscience, and the importance of the event for emerging leaders.

National Pest Management Association’s 29th Academy event started off with Jason O. Harris and his “No Fail Trust: The Flight Plan to Cultivating a High-Performance Team,” keynote. Harris said individuals in a high trust organization have 106% more energy at work, 50% higher productivity and 76% more engagement.
