This week’s Summer Summit, hosted by Precast - PCI of Illinois & Wisconsin in Lake Geneva, was an excellent event. This is my second year attending and the event continues to prove invaluable. The summit included sessions on AI in Business, Sustainability in Construction, Construction Quality Control, and Energy Efficiency, along with two comprehensive case studies of recent projects with participation of BAC trades. Additionally, I had the opportunity to network with representatives from companies specializing in thin brick, tile, and precast materials. Reconnecting with industry colleagues and peers was also a highlight. Looking forward to next year’s summit. Great to be back in the USA again, this time in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Big thanks to Joe Lombard and Scott Bertschinger from Precast - PCI of Illinois & Wisconsin for inviting me to deliver a Keynote on how the wider precast concrete, construction and architecture sector can harness AI ethically. I included examples such as concrete.ai, as well as examples from other industry sectors. And shared my Scorecard for Success and other practical tools and templates. As always, I learned a lot from the other speakers, including Corey Zussman, and Emily Lorenz - who advised on low carbon and the environmental impact of the industry, and the funding now available. Great to meet many of the sponsors and exhibitors as well as many delegates from across the region. We all enjoyed a fun round of golf, a wonderful cruise on the lake, and a delicious Concrete Chef’s Dinner courtesy of Jim Voss Next stop Chicago for a little vacation, before returning to Chicago again in September to speak at another conference. #AI #precastconcrete #engineering #construction Cc PCI Mountain States PCI Midwest
