Here are some warning signs of a social media ad scam: Poor quality product images at the center of the ad. Price points are lower than other retails and they advertise immediate action or one day only sales. Poor grammar and spelling errors in the ads. Trust your gut. These codes are usually sent via text or email making it easy for scammers to steal them. Posing as a security center helps fraudsters gain access to online accounts. Here are some signs these may be scams: You've received a random code text for one of your accounts. A stranger texts and asks for the code.
