For the seventh annual Western Family Share It Forward campaign, Buy-Low Foods LP and Nesters Market have joined Save-On-Foods, PriceSmart Foods and Urban Fare stores by donating 50 per cent of net proceeds from every Western Family product sold online or in-store from May 23 to 29 to the local food bank in the community where the products were purchased. Access to healthy, nutritious food is something all Canadians should have, and we are thankful that through our longstanding partnerships with food banks across Western Canada, and the Western Family Share It Forward campaign, we can all help make that a reality. Simply stop by one of the five participating retailers this week and choose Western Family during your regular grocery shop – it’s that easy. #ShareItForward #WesternFamily #PattisonFoodGroup #FoodBanks

We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Kim Novak, president of the UFCW Local 1518. Kim garnered the respect of all those she worked with, building solid and mutually respectful relationships with people at all levels of our organization: in our stores, amongst our labour relations team, and with the most senior leaders in our company. We send our sympathies to her family, friends and the UFCW 1518 team at this incredibly difficult time.
