With the spirit to support our communities more important than ever before, we are proud to share that Patina Restaurant Group has been working in partnership with several nonprofit organizations throughout the country in a growing volunteer concessions program tying back to our role as official catering partner for PGA of America events. In preparation for these event experiences, Patina Restaurant Group reaches out to select NPOs more than a year in advance to begin collaborating on ways to leverage the volunteer concessions program to support important causes. This year during the Men’s Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky, we partnered with a number of inspiring organizations including Home of the Innocents, which provides residential and community-based behavioral health services, therapeutic foster care and adoption services, services for young adults experiencing homelessness, and long-term care for children with complex medical needs, HOPE COLLABORATIVE, which provides spaces and trauma-informed programs where individuals can build strong connections with others in their community while they grow and heal, and Travel to Hope, which provides funding and support for cancer patients to travel to receive life-sustaining care. “These collaborations enhance the event experience and serve as a powerful platform for raising funds and awareness for deserving causes,” said Ali DenDanto, PHR, human resources manager for Patina Restaurant Group. “It is inspiring to witness the collective effort and impact of these NPOs and volunteers coming together to support their missions and communities.”

Planning a visit to Orlando this summer? We are thrilled to share that one of our most beloved Patina Restaurant Group offerings, Morimoto Asia, is participating in the annual Flavors of Florida event, a celebration of Florida-inspired food. Running from July 1-August 11 at participating restaurants throughout Disney springs, Morimoto Asia is offering the Florida Key West Pink Shrimp Salad and Sparkling Shiso Orange cocktail to help commemorate the occasion. Executive Chef Takeshi Ikeuchi and Mixologist Junko Perreco recently led a culinary demonstration to highlight the locally sourced menu items for visitors. “The team at Morimoto Asia is thankful for the unique opportunity to educate and inspire the Central Florida community by highlighting ingredients that grow right here in our own backyard,” said Paul Snyder, general manager at Morimoto Asia.

As proud partners of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), our team was thrilled to recently host an exclusive culinary event inspired by the museum's latest major international exhibition, "Dining with the Sultan: The Fine Art of Feasting." This curated experience allowed over 40 guests to savor a multicourse meal that beautifully complemented the exhibition, a first of its kind which showcases Islamic art through the lens of its associated culinary traditions. The Patina Restaurant Group culinary team collaborated with Daniel Newman, chair and professor of Arabic studies at the University of Durham in the United Kingdom, to create dishes inspired by recipes from 9th century Baghdad, 13th century Andalusia and 15th century Cairo. “The event was a rare and exciting opportunity for our team to explore food through a highly focused historical lens,” said Nathan Washburn, executive chef of Ray’s and Stark Bar at LACMA. “Through the spirited guidance of Professor Daniel Newman, we were introduced to a style of service and vivid spectrum of ingredients that fully expressed the crossroads of antiquity, opulence and service. It was truly memorable to bring this unique and profound exhibit to life.”

As Eater LA shares, Los Angeles is no stranger to splashy restaurant openings situated in iconic buildings and helmed by big-name chefs. We are so thrilled to share that our newest offerings at Downtown Disneyland Resort - Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita - have been featured as some of the hottest new restaurants to open in the region. "Chicago chef Carlos Gaytán has opened three new restaurants at the busier-than-ever Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, bringing polished modern Mexican dishes to the Orange County dining scene. The most ambitious is Paseo, located upstairs and serving gorgeous renditions of dishes he learned to make from his childhood." Read more below: https://lnkd.in/dKUANBvk
