"Serving as Carlos's mentor was a great experience. He's a very promising young man whose potential is limitless. The fact that he's now a student at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University speaks to the impact of the program and the personnel. " - Henry Ponciano, mentor "My mentor allowed for many doors to be opened. I was able to find someone who was always there for me." - Carlos Gutierrez, Class of 2024 Carlos, now a high school graduate and Path to College alumni, is attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, thanks in part to the support of his mentor, Henry. If you're looking for a way to change young lives, this is it. We're recruiting 40 new mentors this summer; will you join the movement?

For many low-income students, a TI-84 calculator can unlock a world of opportunities, but the high cost often puts it out of reach. This calculator is more than a classroom tool; it’s a gateway to the future. It helps students conquer complex math and prepare for life-changing exams like the SAT and ACT. As the school year approaches, the most crucial item our students need is the TI-84 calculator. By donating a calculator through our Pack a Backpack initiative, you’re not just giving a piece of technology – you’re giving hope, possibility, and a chance at a brighter future. Each calculator donated is a step towards leveling the playing field, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. Join us in making a profound difference. Donate through our Amazon wishlist (in the comment below)!

Path to College’s annual Senior Send-Off was extra special for me this year—we celebrated my incredible mentee, Karma. Mentoring her has been a life-changing and extremely rewarding experience. I’m deeply honored to have been a part of her journey. Karma is off to Georgia State University this fall and I couldn’t be prouder of all she’s achieved! Go Panthers! 🐾 Mentorship changes two lives: https://lnkd.in/eWjPxwzn

Path to College is very grateful! Florida State Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed the FY2025 State Budget that included a $500,000 investment in the Path to College Catapult Youth Mentoring Center. This generous funding will allow for the purchase of the renovated building (and student technology) at 1213 Lake Avenue, a project made possible by Lake Worth Beach CRA. Special thanks to Representative Mike Caruso and Sen. Bobby Powell Jr., AICP for championing this important work! And Sean Pittman and Sam Peltier of Pittman Law Group for representing students in rooms they haven't been in yet. Catapult will be the Youth Mentoring Center students can walk to! We know that where kids go after school can affect where they go in life. Catapult is an expansion of a program that is halting generational poverty. It will be a free after-school center and welcoming space for homework help, college preparation, SAT preparation, project-based learning, one-on-one mentoring, career exposure, STEM pathways, and mental health support.
