Fewf! What a day! Earlier today our newly designed na.panasonic.com officially went live and yes, it has a lot of great design, accessibility, and discoverability elements we’re all really, really excited about. What’s bigger for me is seeing the values of our founder and the stories of our interesting and innovative Panasonic North America businesses come together in a new way. This doesn’t happen without passionately talking openly about what matters most. Our conversations with our team members about customers, purpose, missions, and value over the past several months have been rich and rewarding. We didn’t set out to just build a site on marketing’s terms. We set out to build something for our businesses that is completely representative of deep beliefs and where we are going in the future together. As a marketer, as a communicator, and as a team leader, it’s a great day when you can check the box on ✅ technology ✅ design ✅culture ✅ collaboration. A huge amount of 💙 for Mike Coyle and his incredible team for their leadership and desire to actively listen, adapt, and deliver.

Last week, at our Panasonic North America headquarters in Newark, NJ, we hosted over 100 guests to celebrate 40 years of the Panasonic Foundation advancing equitable access to education among historically underserved students. Our founder, Kōnosuke Matsushita, built our company on a foundation of putting people before products, and of contributing positively to society. Looking around the room last week, I know he would have been proud. Proud not only of what the Panasonic Foundation has achieved over the past 40 years, but of our momentum to nurture a more inclusive and diverse generation of innovators in the years to come. A special thank you to everyone who joined us, in particular our guest speakers U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten (U.S. Department of Education), Stephanie Yeldell (NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration), and Harla Rae Sherwood (National Institute of Aerospace). We know that the future of our business—and of our world—relies on nurturing a more inclusive and diverse generation of innovators who are skilled, adaptable, creative and well-equipped. With the collaboration of our dedicated partners, community members, and employees across North America, we’re excited to see where we can go together over the next 40 years and beyond.

What makes a champion? Curiosity. Considered one of the greatest swimmers of all time, Katie Ledecky claims seven Olympic gold medals in four appearances with multiple world records to her name—all while championing various charitable initiatives around STEM education. http://spr.ly/6048cMnTQ
