October is #EmployeeOwnership month! As a woman- and employee-owned small business, we celebrate the benefits of employee ownership. Did you know that The ESOP Association research shows that employee owners between 60 and 64 have, on average, 10 times the wealth of their peers? Panagora became employee owned in 2021, and since then, we’ve seen soaring levels of engagement, retention, and growth. Last week, Panagora led a panel at the ESOP Association’s regional conference sharing insights and lessons learned from our experience integrating DEI into our employee ownership model, a recipe for long term success at every level. We believe that by empowering employees through an ownership model, increasing financial literacy and equity, and developing a culture of belonging and inclusion, we can be the change we want to see in the world. #EmployeeOwnership #WOSB #WomenOwned #DiversityInLeadership

🌍 On World Contraception Day, we are #PanagoraProud to make contraceptives and family planning services more accessible to women and families through the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project in Nigeria and Ethiopia and the Uganda Health Activity. The GHSC-PSM team in #Nigeria, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health, have been improving the Contraceptive Logistics Management System and providing trainings to 2,572 family planning service providers across the country. This system increases data visibility, prevents stockouts, and optimizes the supply chain for contraceptives. Policymakers and healthcare providers rely on these data to create targeted, accessible, and equitable family planning programs. Since its inception, GHSC-PSM has distributed over 38 million family planning commodities across Nigeria. In #Ethiopia, GHSC-PSM supported the government to launch a five-year reproductive health commodity security strategy, offering comprehensive supply chain technical assistance. This strategy empowered Ethiopia to form crucial compact agreements with UFPA and USAID and increase its overall funding levels from 30% to 93%. As a result, the stockout rates in Ethiopia have dropped from 8.5% in 2020 to 3.6% in 2024. In #Uganda, Panagora is a subcontractor to URC for the Uganda Health Activity. We are supporting local district government partners, regional referral hospitals, and civil society to improve demand for health services, in part to address teenage pregnancy rates (between 17% and 20%) in key districts. Panagora also takes special steps to engage local minority populations (Batwa, IiK, and Tepth people) to understand the root causes of teen pregnancy and support increased uptake of health services. #Panagora works every day to support women’s access to the critical resources that help them live empowered and healthy lives. 🤝✨💖 #WorldContraceptionDay #ReproductiveHealth #globaldev

Did you know employee-owned federal contractors score significantly higher on their CPARs? On this episode of Federal Drive with Tom Temin, a Federal News Network podcast, researcher James Hasik discusses this performance boost. “It’s been repeatedly demonstrated in other research, that individuals care a good deal more about what they’re doing if they actually have an ownership stake in the enterprise when you’re going into work,” he says. “It’s a pretty dramatic effect.” We’re #PanagoraProud to confirm these findings as an employee-owned social enterprise that's earned an average CPAR score of over 4.0 through 2023. We strongly believe that employee-ownership is the future of ethical capitalism. #EmployeeOwnership #globaldev #socent #ESOP https://lnkd.in/ewrMZSSg

We’re #PanagoraProud to support the Ministry of Health of Zambia to help Zambia combat the potentially deadly mosquito-borne disease of malaria, which is one of the country’s greatest health challenges. Over 20,000 Zambians contract malaria each day, and at any time, one in five children there are infected with the disease. In 2023, the Zambian Ministry of Health invested $8 million in the “Malaria-free Zambia” campaign, with the key strategy of distributing 6.2 million Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINS) every three years to 6 million people across six provinces. With Panagora’s support, USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management and private sector partners oversaw the warehousing and distribution of the LLINs to the last mile, eliminating the need for health facilities to physically collect nets from District Health Offices, saving time and resources. This photo was taken by Panagora’s Chilowekwa Shike. It showcases three beneficiaries of the mass distribution of LLNs: Grace Nkawani, Emilia Mwanza, and Dave Nyirongo.
