  • 🙏 PRAYER REQUEST 🙏 Kyle is a teenager in our Transitional program, and his situation is unique in that he did not progress to Transitional Care from one of our other care settings. In fact, he’s new to Palmer Home. When his mother was incarcerated, his father and stepfather refused to welcome him into their home. This kind, intelligent, hardworking young man was suddenly alone and homeless. Fortunately, Kyle’s youth director reached out to Palmer Home asking if there was anything we could do to help him. Our staff acted quickly to move Kyle into our men’s transitional home. As with every new child, our team put together a plan to provide for his physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Kyle now has permanent housing and a stable life within the safety of Palmer Home. We are thrilled he has settled in and has begun training to become a firefighter, his dream career. Please keep Kyle in your prayers over the coming weeks.

  • Looking for a full fall activity with the family and a great opportunity to support our mission? Our friends at Bolin Grove Farms are hosting a pumpkin festival on Saturday, October 5th, and 100% of the proceeds for the family-friendly activities offered that day (a mechanical bull ride, bounce house, face painting, and games) will be donated to Palmer Home. A portion of the proceeds collected from pumpkin sales during the month of October will also support our mission.

  • "Our lives are always moving in the direction of our strongest thoughts. What we think shapes who we are." - Craig Groeshel The stories we tell ourselves matter. The story we think others tell about us matters. The story we believe God has for us matters. The purpose of every program we offer, every resource we create, and every cottage we build is to create a haven for children to flourish and thrive physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and academically. Through love, faith, and support, we hope to nurture their souls, fostering an environment where hope and resilience thrive while sharing the love of Christ. Churches are a vital partner in accomplishing this task. To learn more about how to support our mission in your church, visit https://lnkd.in/g_TwJCZQ. To schedule a tour for your church group or to request our team speak at your church, please contact Anna Bell at [email protected]
