As Minnesota’s first and largest shelter for those experiencing or at risk of sex trafficking, the shelter provides vital care and support to individuals from all cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. We’re looking for volunteers to help with tasks such as painting, gardening, cleaning, and preparing meals for residents. 🔍 Breaking Barriers in the Fight Against Child Sexual Exploitation 🔍 K9 Rosco in the news https://lnkd.in/g7tsrSP9 We are incredibly proud to share a remarkable achievement by OUR Rescue sponsored K9 unit. Last week, during a mission in Quito, Ecuador, K9 Rosco and his handler, Lt. John Haning, demonstrated outstanding skill and dedication. In a pivotal operation, Rosco detected two hidden SD cards and a phone, uncovering crucial evidence that had been missed in the manual search. These storage devices were located in the room of a 15-year-old daughter of a pediatrician accused of sexually abusing his patients and distributing the material worldwide. This discovery is a testament to the vital role that specialized canine units play in our efforts to combat human trafficking and child sexual exploitation. K9 Rosco and Lt. Haning’s expertise and relentless pursuit of justice are exemplary, reminding us of the importance of supporting and training these remarkable teams. Thank you to everyone involved in this mission for your unwavering commitment to our cause. Last week, I traveled to Ecuador with our CEO, Tammy Lee, and members of our operations and survivor care team to partner with U.S. and Ecuadorian law enforcement and government officials. Together, we apprehended a pediatrician suspected of victimizing his young patients, ages 8-12, producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and distributing it within Ecuador and other countries, including the United States. Heinous crimes against our children must be stopped, and OUR Rescue will continue to partner with law enforcement globally to bring these predators to justice. We will NOT stop.
