Earlier this week, OTR’s Collection and Enforcement Administration (CEA) gathered at the MLK branch of the DC Public Library in Ward 2 for a full day team-building conference and training session called “Essential Pieces of the Puzzle.” Throughout the day, CEA Director Radee Skipworth and his team led their employees through informative presentations from OTR leadership and senior staff, coordinated breakout sessions for attendees to dig deep into tough topics, and solicited feedback on key policies and procedures. They also ran through the many ways CEA plans to utilize new #technology to better serve our taxpayers. But most of all, the administration worked to build trust, confidence, and comradery among its team. 🤝 🙌 This is OTR at its best: harnessing the power of our amazing people to help our agency improve! The tax season is officially over, and once again we were proud to serve DC taxpayers! Even during this busy time, our calls were answered within about 5 minutes and the average wait time in our Customer Service walk-in center was under 8 minutes. Individual income refunds were processed within 25 calendar days, escalations decreased, and our taxpayers learned more about changes to the #EarnedIncomeTaxCredit and other tax updates from media exposure and social media content.
