About us

Guiding Principles: With high expectations, we engage all students in meaningful learning activities to prepare them for successful lives. We hold high expectations for ourselves and others. We all learn best when actively and meaningfully engaged. We all learn in different ways. Each student needs to experience success. Positive relationships yield positive results. Schools, families, and the community are interdependent. We can influence the availability of resources for schools. We create positive work and learning environments when we act with respect, integrity, honesty, and responsibility. Vision: In our ideal future, Oregon City School District is a truly great community of learners in which students are engaged in genuine, meaningful learning. Every student has an educational plan, and the tools and support to pursue their educational goals. All students are engaged in fulfilling, robust learning activities that are driven by each student’s educational plan. Partnerships within the local, national, and global communities provide students enriching educational and life experiences. All students are involved in community partnerships that promote respect, honesty, service, and learning. A wide variety of expanded learning opportunities ensures a comprehensive education that prepares each student for success. The district is characterized as rigorously pursuing and securing additional funding to support student learning.

  • Always a great event for our Oregon City SD staff to attend. We learned so much!

Dozens of school district leaders, safety specialists, and law enforcement and insurance partners gathered at Clackamas ESD Nov. 1 for our annual safe schools emergency management summit. The day-long program featured a heavy emphasis on creating physically and psychologically safe workplaces, with a keynote speech by Ila Border of the Clackamas Fire Department and a featured speech by Jessica Jack of SAIF Corporation. Clackamas ESD was able to host this summit thanks to a federal grant that allows us to provide safety and emergency planning services throughout northwest Oregon. Special thanks to event sponsor Marsden Services and many other regional partners who helped create a robust day of learning and networking on the critical topic of school safety. • Congratulations BRIC 🎉

BRIC is celebrating our sixth anniversary! As a value-driven firm, the greatest gift an organization like ours could ask for is the opportunity to continue to live out our mission: championing design that empowers learners to change the world. From comprehensive new construction projects to critical remodels and facility upgrades, that central mission has manifested – and evolved – in so many different ways over the last six years. It’s looked like… ▶ Design that supports educators. ▶ Design that amplifies community values. ▶ Design that centers those most impacted by inequity. ▶ Design that champions sustainability and wellness. ▶ Design that inspires joy and exploration. ▶ Design that fosters communities of care. ▶ Design that realizes a more equitable, just, and humane future. Across every level of education, we’re proud to co-create learning environments that reflect the transformative power of design alongside district leaders, teachers, students, and community stakeholders. Cheers to many more years 🎉 #BuildingRelationships #InspiringCommunities #K12Design #SchoolDesign #K12Education #EquityInEducation #SustainableDesign #DesignForChange #StudentEngagement #CommunityEngagement #EquityCommissioning #Architecture
