CEO at ADOPTEQ - The Adopteq way to your Legacy Application Transformation

Having just returned from the Power Platform Conference in Vegas, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible keynotes and speakers that showcased the future of the Power Platform. The innovation shared was truly exciting (details below), but one thing stood out to me from my conversations with customers: many still find it challenging to tap into these advancements due to legacy systems. As one customer perfectly put it, “How are we supposed to roll out Copilot when most of our data and users are still working in MS Access today?” This is exactly why we at Adopteq do what we do. Our mission is to help customers bridge the gap, modernize their environments, and fully embrace Microsoft’s new innovations. By helping organizations get their data into the right place—such as Dataverse—we enable them to build the next generation of apps with Copilot and unlock all the Power Platform's new features. And the best part? We’re doing this hand-in-hand with Microsoft ensuring that our customers and partners can thrive in this new era of innovation. Here are some exciting updates from the conference: ◾️ Over 6000 community members attended ◾️ 48M people use Microsoft Power Platform every month ◾️ Power Platform grew by 40% last year New Power Platform Innovations: 🤖 Copilot Studio - Copilot agents in public preview: Automate tasks and access information faster. - Agent builder in public preview: A simple tool for building Copilot agents in M365 Copilot BizChat and SharePoint. - GPT-4o as the default model, providing more precise answers. - Copilot Studio supports larger knowledge sources and can interpret PDFs, images, and diagrams. 🔀 Power Automate - AI recording for desktop flows in public preview: AI-powered automation for users of all skill levels. - Power Automate generative actions: Manage cloud flows directly within your workspace. - Desktop flows from natural language in public preview. - Two-action panes in the designer, now generally available. 📱 Power Apps - Coauthoring, now generally available: Multiple makers can collaborate in real time on different parts of an app. - Copilot in Power Apps for project planning, in limited preview. 🌐 Power Pages - GitHub Copilot in Power Pages, public preview: A powerful blend of pro-code and low-code development for professional developers. Exciting times ahead, and we’re thrilled to be part of this journey with ADOPTEQ and Microsoft! #PowerPlatform #Adopteq #Innovation #Copilot #Modernization #DigitalTransformation #adopteq #migration #lotusnotes #lotus #notes #domino #hcldomino #msaccess #access #power #apps #workflow #legacy #app #migrations #data #cio #microsoft

Last week, Optima's Senior Public Safety Advisor, Layne Barnum facilitated a Maxwell Method of Communication Impact Workshop at the NYC Office of Chief Medical Examiner. Criminalists from DNA units completed a DISC Assessment prior to the workshop and reviewed their comprehensive reports. During the workshop participants were debriefed on their individual reports, taught the 4 primary DISC personality types, and how best to communicate with each type.  The group activities and discussions provided a great opportunity for them to have fun while learning how to move beyond communication and further towards connection. Discussions ranged from strategies for personal growth, to 360 leadership, and developing high performing teams.  💥 If you would like to take your team's communication to the next level, contact us today to book your workshop! 📨 [email protected] #MaxwellMethod #DISCmethod #Communication #Connection #BuildLeaders

⚠️ tips below… Spring Texas ISD Police Department was a great host for the NCS⁴ Southern Miss. AWR-167 Sport and Special Event Risk Management class. Sgt. Laura Robeson assembled a broad group of stakeholders. The conversations and group activities provided insight, provoked thought, and challenged the attendees to commit to continuous improvement in their respective disciplines. Ben tailored a capstone exercise to a real life challenge they were dealing with and hopefully left Spring with some key takeaways. These security and safety principles hold true across disciplines. They also scale up and down to meet the needs of local community small events like graduations, all the way to SuperBowl and Olympics, and even for hotels adjacent to I-45 service roads. Special thanks to my partner Ben Rolens, CSSP who did more than his fair share when I got side tracked. He is a great instructor. Personal Lessons learned: * When intelligence indicates that Chevy 2500s are hot items for criminals, take it serious and go with your gut to transfer your risk by renting a vehicle. * Layer your protective measures and build in redundancy. Onstar security system was easily defeated almost instantly. A $30 well placed AirTag would have been much more effective. * Security technology that is improperly implemented is worthless. Expecting technology to have results without proper training and investing in your people does nothing more than provide a fictitious sense of security and wastes resources. Parking under a security light with 3 mounted security cameras provided zero protection and zero evidence. * If you need or require security guards for your business, your contract must include provisions for when they do not show up and ultimately you are still responsible for the contingency plans. Regardless of my setback, we still started the class off with an awesome icebreaker based on sound research. PM me for the icebreaker details, it will help you reframe your thinking.
