A new, less expensive 3D printing method uses two lasers for two-photon polymerization to increase practicality for consumer electronics, biomedical applications and more: https://bit.ly/3VPIQqN To reduce the power requirement of the femtosecond laser used in 3D printing, the Purdue University team combined a relatively low-cost laser emitting visible light with a femtosecond laser emitting infrared pulses. Now, the team is working to improve the printing speed and reduce the cost of 3D printing. #3Dprinting #lasers #laserscience #3D #technology

I'm excited to share that I'll be speaking at the Global Photonics Economic Forum in Malaga, Spain, organized by Optica. Dubbed the new 'Davos of Photonics,' this forum will bring together 300 leaders from across the global photonics industry, including corporate executives, policymakers, and investors, for insightful discussions that will shape the future of photonics. There's no other event quite like it that focuses on the broad economic impact of optics and photonic technologies. Looking forward to seeing you in Malaga on October 1st! #Photonics #Optica #Forum
