Case Study: How automation with Optibus improved BRT Sorocaba’s scheduling speed BRT Sorocaba in São Paulo, Brazil transports 24 million passengers every year. To improve the efficiency of each of those trips, Renato Andere, President of BRT Sorocaba, and Murilo Campiotto Almeida, responsible for driver scheduling, have been using Optibus' Planning and Scheduling software, achieving the following resuls: 🔹 Fully digitalize and automated their scheduling and planning processes 🔹 Reduced work time from days to minutes 🔹 Optimized their crew and vehicle resources 🔹 Compliance with municipal and labor regulations “Scheduling and planning [with spreadsheets] took one to two days. We are excited to share that Optibus and Volvo Buses are partnering on an important initiative: to complement Volvo Buses' hardware offerings with Optibus' innovative, connected digital solutions. Improving public transportation together: A collaboration with the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium. Last week, Optibus presented a collaborative study focused on improving public transportation with the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM). The study aims to evaluate changes to lines for emerging neighborhoods, analyzing their impact on operating costs, in particular the need for additional buses, and the population served by these line extensions. This collaboration aims to optimize public transportation and provide more efficient service to our communities. We extend our gratitude to the Consorcio de Transportes de Madrid for their willingness to collaborate and their commitment to improving public transportation. 🌟 Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion at Optibus! 🌟 Last Thursday, we had the honor of hosting Jarvis Sam for an enlightening session titled "Pride and Prejudice: The Evolution of LGBTQIA Rights Worldwide." Jarvis shared fascinating facts about LGBTQIA history, recent legislation, the global perspective on solidarity and privilege, and the importance of intersectionality. He answered many questions, offering advice on handling threats to the LGBTQIA community and tips on being a good ally. Our team gained practical strategies for advocating for LGBTQIA rights and supporting colleagues.
