Over the past twelve weeks, the top convenience store chains saw fuel prices trend downward resulting in margins that averaged more than 43cts/gal nationally. That was nearly 17% better than the same period last year. Racetrac was the most aggressive with its price over the period with an average daily pump price that was 2.45cts/gal cheaper than the direct competitors.  In contrast, the posted Sheetz price was an almost 2cts/gal premium versus the stations within its orbit.  Sheetz maintains a strong market share of 1.6% for the total U.S. despite only having 0.6% of the sites which brings its efficiency rating (market share/outlet share to an impressive 2.82.  As volatility increases, volumes continue to decline, retailers need tools and scorecards to help them execute at the highest levels and measure themselves against accurate benchmarks.  That is why OPIS created PricePro, AnalyticsPro and the rest of the ProSuite products.  https://lnkd.in/d4Exm_XX #conveniencestores #convenienceretail #retail #gasprices #oil #bigoil #fleets #connectedCars #economy #marketshare #gasstations OPIS, A Dow Jones Company
