This is an important and compelling watch, nice job, PERC! Mega wildfires in Montana and the Western U.S. are increasingly scary and damaging to communities, public lands, private lands, infrastructure, and wildlife, not to mention very expensive to contain. On the bright side, forest management for healthier forests and fuels reduction is a clear cut solution and the solution that will have the most significant impact on mitigating major wildfires in the West. https://lnkd.in/gCtA6WgX

Friends of the Outside Kind program and Ski Kind, @bridgerskifoundation Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF), in partnership with @gvlt Gallatin Valley Land Trust (GVLT) and @bozeman_health Bozeman Health , is testing out the expansion and maintenance of winter multi-use trails in Highland Glen. You can support grooming and winter trails with a trail membership and coming out to enjoy the trail system! While the traditional groomed ski trails in Highland Glen remain dog-free and ski-only during the winter, there’s now an expanded route for those on foot, snowshoes, and bikes in the winter (as well as on-leash dogs). Woot woot! Sharing an update from our friends at Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks ! 🟧 The new license year opens March 1, which means that is the day you can buy your 2024 hunting, fishing, and conservation licenses and begin applying for permits and special licenses. The deadline to apply for deer and elk permits is April 1. Tips and reminders: > Don’t wait until the last day to apply. > If you’re applying for a special license or permit, you will need to have a valid email address. > Make sure to doublecheck the regulations before applying. Some permit/licenses have changed. > The Online Licensing System is available from 5 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. > Everyone 12 and older needs a Conservation License to access most state lands, including fishing access sites, wildlife management areas and wildlife habitat protection areas (WHPA). Montana State Parks do not require a Conservation License. > A separate and rotating moose, bighorn sheep or mountain goat SuperTag lottery for resident hunters will be conducted annually. Montana residents will receive one free chance in the lottery for every General Elk or General Deer License purchased. Learn more at: https://lnkd.in/dgUPnjBf #MyMontanaHunt

"Since 1995, the Bozeman Track Club has been introducing hundreds of kids to the freedom and accessibility of running on our local trails. Instilling principles of kindness and inclusivity in our youth is what running as a team is all about. Outside Kind provides us with the ability to expand that team and we welcome everyone to join us as we Run Kind." - Michael McCormick We're proud of our impact.
