We are honored to announce that Catalyst Campus has been awarded a Colorado Technology Hub Development Grant award under the Securing Space Assets Coalition sector from OEDIT.    This effort, comprising of visionary leaders from academia, industry, and government, is dedicated to strengthening Colorado's position in aerospace, defense, and cybersecurity and workforce development. Through strategic partnerships, these two labs, the SBIR/STTR Acceleration Lab and the Gaming Lab, aims to fuel innovation and propel our state's robust space economy to even greater heights.   Eve Lieberman, Executive Director of OEDIT, encapsulates the spirit of this initiative perfectly: "As we work to develop tomorrow’s most critical technologies, we have the opportunity to spur growth and innovation across the state so that Coloradans of all backgrounds can benefit from these incredible new opportunities."   Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer, President & CEO of Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, highlights the strategic impact of the award: "This funding will enable Catalyst Campus to create a cybersecurity gaming lab for students, accelerate access and participation of small businesses in the SBIR/STTR program, and create virtual internships through the establishment of a Data Mine of the Rockies lab by Space ISAC."   Together, we're shaping a future where innovation thrives, jobs flourish, and Colorado's space and defense economy thrives. Today, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced Catalyst Accelerator Colorado Springs as a Stage One winner for the 2024 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC). The Catalyst Accelerator will receive a $50,000 cash prize for its inclusive approach in supporting the launch, growth, and scale of STEM/R&D-focused small businesses in National Security and Defense. GAFC first launched in 2014, and through 2023, has awarded 427 prizes totaling over $26 million. We are honored and thrilled to be part of this year’s Stage One cohort, fostering a collaborative national support ecosystem for underrepresented entrepreneurs.
