We continued our monthly Broadway District businesses meetings, with July's meeting being hosted at the future site of the Green Bay Public Market. Attendees received updates on the Shipyard project from Matt Buchanan, AICP with the City of Green Bay and the Green Bay Public Market from Brian Johnson. Summer, fall and winter event details were shared by Allison Thut and downtown 2025 Draft activity updates were shared by Mary Rhode. Gathering businesses together speaks directly to On Broadway's mission of supporting and communicating to the small businesses that call our district home.

Join us for an eve of merriment and spectacle, where you shall be transported to the Regency era's most enchanting tales. With the 2025 NFL Draft fast approaching, we announced yesterday, preliminary event plans for downtown Green Bay. Planned events are in being done in collaboration with Downtown Green Bay, Inc. and the City of Green Bay. Additional events and more details will be announced in the coming months.

Broadway District Construction Update 🚨 Renovation work continues on the final section of the former Larsen Canning building. Construction and the addition of underground parking is expected to be completed later this summer. Work began on the site about 10 years ago, with the 70,000 sq ft building located at 540 N Broadway, receiving a $10M renovation. Retail and office suites will be available to lease in various sizes. Join us as we recognize another member of the Green Bay Public Market's Capital Campaign Cabinet, Tim Day with Commercial Horizons, Inc. "I view the Public Market as the culmination of the incredible effort that has gone into turning this area of Green Bay into something we can all be proud of. A thriving central district is essential to the health of a community and the Public Market will ensure the vitality of not just the Broadway District but all of Green Bay as well. The opportunity to participate in the capital campaign cabinet to make this project a reality is one way I can give back to the community that has given so much to me." Join us in welcoming Ron Franklin as the first full-time hire for the the Green Bay Public Market! As Vice President of Operations, Ron's focus will primarily be tenant recruitment and construction buildout, pre-Market opening. Once the doors of the Green Bay Public Market open, he will oversee additional full and part-time staff hires along with managing the day-to-day operations. This role will also take the lead on the creation and opening of a Retail Incubator in the Broadway District. Ron brings an extremely qualified background to the position, with an extensive history of working with entrepreneurs and small businesses and we are thrilled to have him on the team. 📷: Julie Gile

The Green Bay Public Market social pages will highlight several of the project's Capital Campaign Cabinet members over the next few weeks. First up, is Melinda Morella-Olson with Breakthrough. "Attracting and retaining talent in our region is something I am incredibly passionate about, which is why I decided to join the campaign cabinet for the Green Bay Public Market. People are drawn to live, work, and play in places and spaces that are unique, and where they can gather and engage in shared experiences. Turning the old, blighted building into a vibrant, interactive hub will attract visitors and draw residents to enjoy all the Broadway District has to offer. It will also serve as a catalyst for future development, spurring additional economic impact for years to come." Cabinet members have been integral in providing guidance, knowledge and experience on our continued fundraising efforts. Involving well-connected and respected individuals has helped foster relationships and spread the good word of the impact the Green Bay Public Market will have on our city. Thank you Melinda!

Today, in partnership with the Greater Green Bay Chamber, we officially cut the ribbon and welcomed Hurckman Mechanical Industries, Inc. to the Broadway District! Their office is located in the heart of the Broadway District at 164 N. Broadway and has a beautiful rooftop space for their employees to enjoy while taking in the activity in our downtown. Congratulations, HMI! We are so pleased to have you here.
