  • Berlin startuppers from Horus Prosthetics came to Mykolaiv with their equipment to provide prosthetics to our patients in one of the city hospitals absolutely free of charge! This became possible thanks to painstaking international work. On April 25, 2024, in Berlin, at the startup hub, I presented our city and its attractiveness for international cooperation, and later at another event, my colleagues talked about Mykolaiv and its anti-corruption policy and openness. Our city interested them, and the guys decided to come to us with their project. This is a truly unique experience for Mykolaiv! Our rehabilitation specialists adopt knowledge from their foreign colleagues. It is very important that Mykolaiv has the opportunity for prosthetics and full rehabilitation, so that patients do not have to travel to other cities. We are currently establishing our cooperation. I am sincerely grateful to everyone who made this possible, in particular, thanks to Hanna Slobodyanyuk-Montavon, who continues to tell foreign organizations about Mykolaiv and promote the creation of new international connections. More details in the video 👇

  • We continue to tell the world about Mykolaiv! I had an online meeting with representatives of Honolulu (Hawaii, USA). Of course, I traditionally told about the city. About the challenges we faced, about our achievements, about our life during the war. We do not lose optimism and are already thinking about recovery. In addition, Hanna Slobodyanyuk-Montavon, the founder of Mykolaiv Water Hub, was at the meeting, as she told in more detail about this project and plans for its implementation in Mykolaiv. This is one of a dozen projects that we are implementing in our city with the support of international partners. Thank you for your attention to Mykolaiv! Soon we will hold a number of more meetings, where we will discuss specific areas and issues. We continue working!

  • The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission visited Mykolaiv. During the meeting, all areas of city life were discussed: medicine, education, housing and utilities, water supply, heat supply and energy efficiency. I told about the situation in Mykolaiv since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. We have spoken about the consequences of Russian strikes. About the destruction of a school, hospital and residential buildings, as well as about the problems that have befallen our city. The representatives, in particular, were interested in the security component. Unfortunately, ballistics reach the city in a few minutes. And the Russian terrorists attack the civilian population. We all remember how a child and three adults died during the last strike into a civilian housing area. The Russians have one tactic - terrorizing the civilian population. It is important to convey to the international community all the horrors that Russia is committing in Ukraine, in Mykolaiv. The mission representatives listened to the necessary information, and we agreed about further meetings and cooperation.

  • Representatives of the UNDP and the EU arrived in Mykolaiv, namely the UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine, Jaco Cilliers, and the Head of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Stefan Schleuning. Together with the head of the Mykolaiv RSA Vitalii Kim, we discussed possible cooperation 🤝. The main topic is the issue of restoration of Mykolaiv. We must think about recovery now and as a priority make the city better than it is. I told the guests about the situation in Mykolaiv. Now on the agenda is preparation for the heating season and the new school year. And, of course, I always emphasize that for more than two years the city has survived without drinking water in taps. l have noted that thanks to international initiatives and fruitful work, work on the Master Plan has already been finalized, covering all spheres of life of citizens. I also emphasized that we strive to be an open city. That is why Mykolaiv became the first to implement a website for monitoring international assistance. Everyone can see what we received and where the help was provided. ✅All these steps and developments only strengthen our interaction with international organizations and show that we are open to new cooperation, ready to improve and work for good. I thank our guests for their attention to Mykolaiv. We appreciate it. Follow the posts. I will inform you about the progress of our interaction. #International_support

  • The results precede dozens of meetings and the establishment of communications. Therefore, the other day I held an online meeting with representatives of the city of Hamilton, at which we discussed the possibility of partnership between our cities. The first thing I do during such meetings is to talk about Mykolaiv. About the city before the full-scale invasion and what challenges we are facing now. I also shared the projects we are working on with our international partners. Among which: ✅ Creation of a Master Plan. ✅ City strategy until 2027. ✅ Working on a recovery program. All these developments became possible only thanks to international cooperation and the support of various companies, for which I am infinitely grateful. We continue to look for partners in different countries. We have already made plans for future meetings that will benefit our community!

  • We are finalizing our work on the Mykolaiv Master Plan. 🤝We would like to welcome to Mykolaiv representatives of the Italian company One Works and the United Nations Economic Comission for Europe, who have been working on the Master Plan for a long time. I emphasize that this project is important and unique for us. Mykolaiv is one of two cities where the Master Plan is being developed. Now other cities can follow our example and use our developments. This document covers all aspects of city life. As part of this strategy, several pilot projects related to five key components of the city have been identified to be developed. ✅ Innovation and entrepreneurship: a new multifunctional microdistrict focused on science and innovation - Innovation District of Mykolaiv. ✅ Industry and trade: regeneration of the former embankment industrial area into a mixed-use complex and a new multi-use industrial park to support production and logistics. ✅ Housing and community: redevelopment of social housing, including the renovation of existing buildings and the addition of new residential elements. ✅ Culture and heritage: restoration of a heritage and cultural area or building that is especially important to the city and its people. ✅ Green and public spaces: refurbishment and improvement of a key city center or riverside public space to enhance social activity. At this meeting, we discussed the details of the work and the short-term and long-term projects that need to be implemented for our city. #MasterPlan

  • We tell the world about Mykolaiv. 🇺🇦 For the first time, British Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Martin Harris and Deputy Chairman of the Diplomatic Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Ukraine Vahur Soosaar, representatives of the financial partners of the Partnership Fund for a Resilient Ukraine (PFRU), arrived in the city. In the spring of 2023, FPRU began its activities in the Mykolaiv region, in particular, help was provided to our city. Briefly told the guests about how the city lives now, in conditions of a full-scale invasion. The issues of conditions for business, water and full-time education of children in schools were touched upon. We look forward to support in these aspects. It also was raised a difficult topic for us, namely that our Mykolaiv defenders are being held captive by Russian aggressors in inhumane conditions. The international community must remember this and pay attention to it. This support is important to us. International partnerships are now a chance to rebuild the city better than it was. Thank you for your attention to our society.

One Works and One Works Foundation recently presented the Mykolaiv Concept Masterplan to Oleksandr Syenkevych, Mayor of Mykolaiv at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (#URC2024) in Berlin. Systematica is proud to support One Works and One Works Foundation, devising a mobility strategy for this project, which is part of the #UN4UkrainianCities initiative that is guided by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (#UNECE). Our contributions to the #mobility strategy's second phase include: - Redirecting heavy traffic impact: A new bridge and bypass road were introduced to reroute #freight #traffic, minimizing disruption to urban areas while  promoting pedestrian-friendly streets. - Enhancing intermodality: Integrated #railway systems with park-and-ride facilities and #PublicTransport to improve neighborhood connectivity and eliminate infrastructure barriers. - Creating a sustainable transport system: Developed an integrated, flexible, environmentally sustainable public transport network with citywide connections, including a water transport system, and implemented mobility hubs to foster seamless intermodal transportation. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eEN-WQD6 We look forward to elaborating on these goals and strategies in the upcoming phases. Heartfelt thanks to: - Yevhen Poliakov - Tetiana Shulichenko

  • ️Today we were presented with a Master Plan developed for Mykolaiv by the Italian company One Works and the Danish company COWI . Why is this important to us? The master plan will help in the development of Mykolaiv. Both we and our partners agree that the city should be built back better than it was. ✅I would like to note that the Master Plan is created only in two cities of our country - in Mykolaiv and Kharkov. These are pilot projects, and in the future other cities can learn from our experience. I am grateful to our partners for their attention to Mykolaiv and their desire to make the city comfortable for life. #MasterPlan
