A: The scholarship allowed me to comfortably take summer classes, removing financial burdens and letting me focus on my studies. 💬 𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲? A: Coming straight out of high school, I had minimal expectations. However, my experience exceeded them, providing hands-on work with new software and valuable mentorship, which will give me a head start in my major. 💬 𝗤: 𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽? A: The collaborative culture. At my previous smaller company, my questions often went unanswered. The Zeeb and Miller Roundabout project is officially open to traffic! 🚗 Originally planned as a signalized intersection, OHM Advisors proposed a roundabout for enhanced safety and improved sight distance. Here at the community advancement firm, we're honored to be part of a crucial project addressing a long-standing basement backup issue in a Michigan community during large storms.   🚧 This extensive project tackles major collection problems that have caused millions in damage and disrupted thousands of lives. We've been working closely with the Dearborn community for several years now to develop a citywide sanitary sewer model to solve the flooding issues in the combined sewer system. 🌊   Our comprehensive approach includes: 🔹 Modeling Optimization and Development 🔹 Community Engagement 🔹 Alternatives Analysis 🔹 Climate Change Analysis 🔹 Level of Service Criteria   We face the challenge of overcoming the community's distrust due to past ineffective solutions. 🌊 Restoring Nature’s Balance at Stony Creek Metropark 🌿 Our dedicated team members recently rolled up their sleeves for a fantastic day at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township, MI. As part of the Michigan Certified Natural Shoreline Professional organization's Field Day, OHMers Alisha Busuttil, PE (Stidam), Abigail Boger, and Melissa Meszaros joined forces to install a naturalized shoreline on a portion of the park’s eroding shoreline. 🌱 Our Mission: Restoring Nature’s Balance The day was filled with hands-on work, where our team installed erosion control blankets, coir logs, and native plantings to restore and stabilize the shoreline. This naturalized approach not only prevents further erosion but also enhances the beauty and ecological health of the area. 🤝 Collaboration and Gratitude Stony Creek Metropark expressed their gratitude for the support. It was heartwarming to see such appreciation and excitement for the positive impact of our work. 🌟 Immediate Impact The results were immediate! Within minutes of finishing the installation, wildlife began to approach the newly stabilized shoreline, and nearby kayakers were already enjoying the improved scenery. Moments like these highlight the importance and joy of our work in environmental restoration. Kudos to our team for their dedication and hard work!
