🚍✨ Exciting news!   This month, #OHLAUSA has reached an important milestone on our South Corridor Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Miami! We have successfully delivered the first four BRT stations to our client, the Department of Transportation and Public Works. The substantial completion of these initial stations sets a solid foundation for the project’s next phases.   The milestone also marks a significant step toward enhancing public transportation in the Miami-Dade community. The project will facilitate faster and more reliable bus service for residents and visitors alike.   A huge thank you to everyone involved. The South Corridor project members’ collective efforts and expertise have brought us to this point.   About the South Corridor BRT Project This signature assignment features many unique elements including the construction of 14 bus stations, rehabilitation of 32 bus stops, and improvements to 46 intersections along a 20-mile-long right of way. OHLA USA’s vertical construction division, OHLA Building, was responsible for managing the construction of the 645-space park-and-ride garage, a major focal point of the project.    Major contract elements: ·  14 BRT stations fully convertible to Heavy Rail Transit (HRT). ·  Rehabilitation of existing stations (16 locations, 32 shelters). ·  One terminal station (SW 344th Street Station). ·  Transitway corridor improvements along 20 miles of exclusive transit right‐ of‐way. ·  Two (2) FDOT safety improvement projects. ·  SW 168th Street Park‐and‐Ride/Garage. ·  DTPW Construction Project: Roadway Improvements to SW 264th Street. #OHLAUSA #DesignBuild #PublicTransit #CommunityProgress 🚀🌟

🌟👷♂️ Step into #OHLABuilding's Take Your Kid to Work Day 2024 and experience the day through the eyes of our young guests! The morning started with smiles and breakfast, as families gathered to kick off the day. Kids proudly shared what their parents do at OHLA Building, connecting with each other over shared experiences. EVP Frank Chang shared insights into OHLA USA's work, shedding light on our projects and impact. Then, it was time for a tour of our office, where kids explored and learned about our operations firsthand. Safety was key as kids participated in a demo, learning important tips in a fun way. They then let their creativity flow, crafting coin banks to take home. Excitement soared as kids explored trucks and engaged in friendly relays. A pizza lunch brought everyone together for a tasty break. With Chocolate Asphalt, kids got hands-on experience in road construction, guided by Civil EVP Don Hickey. Fun activities like bingo and tower-building added to the excitement. Parents also had their moment to shine by showing their kids what they do at OHLA Building! As the day wrapped up, we said goodbye to our young adventurers, knowing we'd sparked inspiration for the builders of tomorrow.
