Ohio. The best place to age in the nation.
About us
The Ohio Department of Aging works to ensure that our elders are respected as vital members of society who continue to grow, thrive and contribute. We collaborate with state agencies and community partners, including area agencies on aging, to help integrate aging needs into local plans and ensure that aging Ohioans have access to a wide array of high-quality services and supports that are person-centered in policy and practice. Our programs include the PASSPORT Medicaid waiver, caregiver support, the long-term care ombudsman program, the Golden Buckeye Card and more. Our ultimate goal is to position Ohio on the leading edge of innovation and responsiveness to the growing and changing aging population. Our partnership at the Golden Buckeye Center for Dementia Caregiving wants caregivers across Ohio to know that they are not alone, and we are here to help. The center is launching new educational resources and a calendar of in-person training sessions happening over the next six months to help caregivers build connection, competence and confidence as they answer their calling to care for a loved one or patient living with dementia. Find the resources and the topics/dates/times/registration for the trainings on our website: https://lnkd.in/gq-hPFkv
