With a deep understanding of the business, he consistently shares his expertise, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. His commitment to developing a solid team is evident, and his grower mindset shines through, especially given personal experience on his own farm. Under his leadership, our Tomah plant has achieved some serious milestones, including a steadfast commitment to safety with zero lost time incidents in three years and increased team member engagement. Our team members activate our Core Value of Inclusive Teamwork in many different ways–including spending their Saturday rowing together at the 23rd Annual Rhode Island Chinese Dragon Boat Races & Taiwan Day Festival! Our North American farmer-owners have been busy throughout summer preparing for the upcoming fall harvest. Fruit has set on our North American farms and will increase in size for the next few weeks. As fruit sizes up, growers continue to make sure their vines receive the nutrients they need during this critical window. Vine nutrition is one of those key areas where decisions impact cranberry vine health and harvest for multiple years! Bud initiation for next year’s crop is underway, making irrigation and nutrient timing decisions especially important this time of year when plants are actively pulling water to keep cool and progress through fruit sizing.
