The Ocean River Institute provides opportunities to make a difference and go the distance for savvy stewardship.
About us
The Ocean River Institute, herring-salmon-sturgeon champions advocating for groundwater protection to keep our rivers flowing and full of fish, advancing ocean ecosystem research on Atlantic marine life connections. The Ocean River Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people and groups make a difference where they live and work through environmental stewardship and science. We believe that many environmental issues can best be addressed by people taking action in their own communities and regions, not by large, national entities. But small, localized, or newly formed groups often need help to achieve their goals. That's where the Ocean River Institute comes in. We maintain a network of ORI Partners, connecting them with resources and services to help them maximize their impact, expand their capacity, and weather unanticipated setbacks. ORI Actions and Events offer opportunities to make a difference, and you can volunteer to be an ORI Steward.

From fungi to fever: Candida auris and climate change The more we let global temperatures rise, put serious climate change legislation on the back burner, and let environmental enforcement slide, the more likely we are to see emerging infectious diseases and pathogens that can harm us and our communities. 350.org, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Extinction Rebellion https://lnkd.in/eD4c4-DJ
