OCBC Malaysia officially welcomed MyWellness Fiesta 2024 into its arms!🎈 This year’s festivities kicked off with a 14-day 100K Step Challenge on 23 September.🚶♂️In furthering our strides to improve holistic wellness of our staff, the Wellness Fiesta saw our Malaysian colleagues participate in fun activities, workshops, talks, and a health screening at Menara OCBC Level 3 today. Additionally, they also learnt and experienced ways to improve mental wellbeing through diet and physical fitness, as well as stress management tactics. 🫶 In case you missed it, don’t worry, this will also be available tomorrow, 2 October! Meet the scambusters of OCBC A scammer posing as a police officer almost got away with more than S$99,000 from one of our customers — but was foiled by our anti-fraud team! When our customer tried to make the sizeable transaction, it was detected by our fraud surveillance system — and Vincent Raj Sanjivee A/L Francis Xavier, from our Anti-Fraud Centre of Excellence leapt into action. He sensed something was off when the customer, though claiming the transfer was for the purchase of a luxury watch, became evasive and hostile about the seller's identity. 🚩 Vincent swiftly looped in our Anti-Scam Unit, where Peck Chun Hua and Amiruddin Bin Abdul Hamid dug deeper. Their investigation uncovered several suspicious factors, leading them to immediately halt the transaction and contact the police. While initially upset, the customer eventually realized the awful truth: she'd been expertly manipulated into believing she was under investigation. Thankfully, with the truth revealed and a police report filed, she was incredibly grateful to have avoided a devastating financial loss. This is just one example of how our dedicated team works tirelessly to protect our customers from scams. In their words, "We're glad we could help protect a vulnerable customer. MyWellness Fiesta 2024 has arrived in OCBC China!🎉 Since Day 1 of our physical fiesta on 25 September in OCBC China, employees got to experience a range of exciting activities such as a vision health experience camp, interactive gamifications, and a survey focusing on mental wellness - all designed to uplift their overall wellness. 🙂Yesterday saw physical wellness 💪 come to live as our colleagues underwent an onsite vision inspection with activities like eye fumigation, fundus screening and a tear secretion test. 👁️ Today, in celebration of keeping well ‘every day and every way’, participants took part in a mental health survey, learnt valuable tips on how to stay positive ☀️, and were gifted a stress relief ball.
