Today we gathered to explore how well-designed programs, coupled with thoughtful mentorship and advisory relationships, can significantly enhance student success. A huge thank you to our panelists for their invaluable contributions: Janice Bloom from College Access: Research and Action (CARA), who shared findings from the report on the Triple Impact of Peer-to-Peer Programs, David Fischer of Altior Policy Solutions, presented on the Bold Solutions to Re-Engage Learning Brief and Vivian Yuen Ting Liu from The City University of New York, discussed the critical issue of Combating Summer Melt and the role of near-peer mentorship.   We were also inspired by young adults engaged in "Bold Solutions" programs at LaGuardia Community College (College. Career. Connect. (C3)) and Epic Theatre Ensemble (First Degree Burns).   Special thanks to Andrea Soonachan of CUNY K16 Initiatives, Gregory J Morris, MPA from the NYC Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC), and Eve Bois, MSEd of Bloomberg Philanthropies for their thoughtful responses and reflections drawn from many years of leadership in the field.   We are aiming to redesign systems to better serve our young people.
