As we take a breather this week with no programming on our track, we take a second to reflect on the incredible journey we continue to embark on together. At NXG, we believe in the power of motorsports to inspire and empower young minds. Our mission as a nonprofit goes beyond the roar of engines; it's about helping kids take the wheel of their own lives by taking them behind the scenes of the world of motorsports. Through hands-on instruction in the classroom and on the track, our Nexgeneracers build the skills they need to succeed in life. So, this week, our young racers get a well-deserved break from the track! But while the engines might be quiet, we're still celebrating the incredible achievements of our NXG family. Here's a quick look back on what makes NXG Youth Motorsports so special: Over 300 Classes Held: Since our inception over 18 seasons ago, we've offered a diverse range of programs to cater to all skill levels and racing aspirations. 3,500 Youth Empowered: We've been fortunate to introduce the thrill of motorsports and valuable life lessons to over 3,500 young people. 40 NXG Grads Return as Crew: It's incredibly rewarding to see our alumni return to the track, this time as dedicated crew members, passing on their knowledge and passion to the next generation. #NXGYouthMotorsports #EmpowerYouth #DiversityInMotorsports #STEMEducation

A Weekend to Remember in Detroit! Building on the excitement of the Indianapolis 500, NXG Youth Motorsports brought the magic of motorsports to Detroit families this past weekend! Our students, volunteers and community members got an up-close view of the action at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear Grand Prix cheering on Force Indy, LLC Indy and witnessing Myles Rowe’s incredible climb from 19th to 4th place in the Indy NXT race! But the experience went beyond the race. They also saw the power of STEM education in action. These weekends provide a window into exciting careers for our students and their guests, opening their eyes to the diverse and dynamic paths that STEM education unlocks. We're not just cultivating tomorrow's leaders, by investing in the next generation, we're nurturing a community that thrives on innovation and a passion for motorsports A huge thank you to everyone who made the NXG Experience a smash hit! Last week at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Firestone made a generous donation of $5,000 to support our mission at NXG Youth Motorsports. We're thrilled and deeply grateful for their commitment to empowering young drivers and fostering diversity in motorsports. It was an honor to have three of our talented young drivers, Max Whitfield, Aubrey Walker, and Jordyn Cummings, alongside Coach Rodney (Rod) Reid (not pictured) represent NXG Youth Motorsports as they graciously accepted the donation on our behalf. Their dedication and passion for racing embody the spirit of our organization, and we couldn't be prouder of their achievements both on and off the track. This donation will play a crucial role in providing opportunities for aspiring young racers from underrepresented communities to pursue their dreams in STEM careers and motorsports. With the support of partners like Firestone, we're able to continue our mission of creating a more inclusive and diverse racing community.

Indianapolis! It's Finally Race Week!🏁 As the engines ignite and the green flag waves this weekend, the Indianapolis 500will once again captivate hearts worldwide, symbolizing the adrenaline-pumping essence of motorsports. Yet, for many young people in Indianapolis, particularly people of color, these aspirations can feel distant. There's a cultural disconnect, and for many of our students and their families, the world of the Indy 500 remains uncharted territory. This is where our nonprofit, NXG Youth Motorsports steps in, forging a vital connection between our community and the world of racing. Beyond the racetrack, NXG leverages the excitement of racing to ignite young minds. Our programs blend S.T.E.A.M. education with the thrill of competition, cultivating not just driving skills, but essential life skills like critical decision-making and unwavering self-discipline. Supporting NXG isn't just about cheering on future racing champions; it's an investment in our community's future. NXG empowers youth, dismantles barriers, and opens doors to careers and opportunities once deemed out of reach. The pursuit of an inclusive motorsports world demands a unified effort. It has been a successful week of activations at the IMS for the IEDC. I want to express my gratitude to Coach Rodney (Rod) Reid and Jimmie McMillian for starting off our staff day with an engaging conversation with our Young Professionals Group. Their insights on career development, sustainability in the motor sports industry, and the importance of diversity within the industry, including initiatives to increase representation of women and African Americans were truly valuable. On Saturday morning, a NXG Grand Prix race allowed our young drivers to showcased their passion and skill behind the wheel, while our crowd looked on. But the excitement didn't stop there! Our guests, including members of the Driven By Us also got to see Force Indy, LLC Indy driver Myles Rowe Rowe compete in the Indy NXT Indianapolis Grand Prix. Beyond the on-track action, the NXG Experience served as a powerful reminder of our mission. We're dedicated to igniting a passion for STEM education in students by showing them the incredible possibilities within the world of motorsports. Weekends like this provide invaluable exposure for our students and their guests, opening their eyes to the diverse and exciting career paths available in this field. For many attendees, this was their first visit to the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a testament to the significance of organizations like NXG. What an incredible week it was at Silverstone with Altalux Creative, Road To Racing Canada (R2R), and Graham Brunton Racing. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the support and financial assistance that made it possible for me to race at one of the most iconic tracks in the world. I've had the pleasure of sharing my experience with the young drivers at NXG Youth Motorsports, Inc. this past weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
