Taking steps to end Alzheimer's disease⭐️💙 The Nuvance Health Neuroscience Institute participated in Walks to End Alzheimer's to support those affected by this neurodegenerative disease and raise hope and funds for finding a cure! The Alzheimer's Association serves nearly 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer's and their 11 million caregivers — including #HudsonValley and #WesternCT. Their ongoing partnership with our neuro team greatly impacts our patients, doctors, healthcare providers and staff! We are deeply passionate about helping our patients and caregivers affected by dementia and Alzheimer's and offer a novel at-home cognitive care program. Healing comes in many forms — and sometimes on four legs! Meet Kenai, an 8-year-old, Labrador-Hound mix ❤️ She is happiest when she shares love and affection with everyone she meets and brings smiles to everyone's faces! Kenai knows lots of tricks (shake, roll over, sit up and others!) and she knows no strangers — often leaning into patients to get pets! Kenai is laid back and calm but loves saying hi to everyone around Norwalk Hospital and enjoys spending her free time snoozing on the couch! 💤 Help us thank Kenai for her #volunteer work in the comments!

Our team had a great day Making Strides Against Breast Cancer with the American Cancer Society! 💗 This event celebrates courage and hope by moving and uniting our communities to end breast cancer as we know it! Our breast surgeons, Dr. Gabi Barmettler and Dr. Christina Wolchok spoke at the events in the Hudson Valley, NY and Fairfield County, CT. They highlighted the incredible progress in breast cancer care, from screenings to treatments and the importance of mammograms. 💗 Let us know if you walked and why!
