To assist Ukrainian businesses in mitigating potential risks and increasing their chances of success in new markets, the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development and the national project Diia.Business, supported by USAID's "Competitive Economy of Ukraine" program, are launching a free Individual Market Research Program. This research will help identify demand characteristics, assess market opportunities and competitive environments, and discover trends. This will enable your business to choose the most economically beneficial export strategy and adapt your competitive offering to the needs and expectations of the target market. The research will include: - demographic and economic situation in the selected country; - trade; - import tariff; - domestic market; - advice on additional tools for export development. A total of 40 companies will be selected to choose up to three target countries. They will receive individual market research reports in PDF format from July to October 2024. How to apply? Nova Global has partnered with Latvijas Pasts to deliver parcels in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. This cooperation focuses primarily on e-commerce supply flows. The partnership allows Nova Global to utilize Latvijas Pasts' delivery network and logistics services. Latvijas Pasts is strategically focused on expanding into new markets and sees this collaboration as a way to strengthen its presence beyond Europe, especially with Nova Global's plans to develop a logistics network in the USA. Latvia's Transport Minister, Kaspars Briškens, highlighted the importance of the partnership with Ukraine, emphasizing the role of business dialogue in connecting people and borders during challenging times. In 2022, Latvijas Pasts reported a turnover of 100.009 million euros and a profit of 2.21 million euros, recovering from a loss in the previous year. As of 2024, Slovakia's economic state shows signs of moderate growth and stability. The GDP per capita is projected to be around USD 26,714, indicating a steady increase from previous years. The Slovak economy is expected to grow by 2.2% in 2024 and 2.9% in 2025, driven by private and public consumption, along with rebounding exports due to stronger external demand. Key economic sectors in Slovakia include industry and services, with the services sector contributing about 58.5% of GDP and employing approximately 62% of the workforce. The industrial sector, which includes significant contributions from the automotive and electronics industries, accounts for 28.5% of GDP and employs 36% of the workforce. Slovakia's top export products include cars, which constitute the largest share of exports at $26.9 billion, followed by motor vehicle parts, video displays, broadcasting equipment, and electricity. The primary export destinations are Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and France. Key trade partners include Germany, which is the largest destination for Slovak exports, followed by neighboring countries like the Czech Republic and Hungary. This close economic relationship is facilitated by geographical proximity and integrated supply chains within the European Union.
