Morehouse College made history in 2022 as the first college to offer classes in the Metaverse. The college recently announced that it will be the first educational institution to deploy fully spatial artificial intelligence (#AI) teaching assistants. This development reaffirms Morehouse as a leader in #education and #technology innovation. The cutting-edge technology promises to revolutionize the learning experience. It will provide students with unprecedented access to personalized, immersive education. My connection to Morehouse is rooted in a shared commitment to uplifting and empowering future generations. I have been honored to support Morehouse by helping to relieve the student debt of an entire graduating class. The college’s continuous pursuit of innovation aligns with my passion for leveraging technology to enhance educational opportunities, particularly for students from historically underrepresented communities. Introducing AI teaching assistants at Morehouse is a remarkable achievement for the institution. More significantly, integrating advanced technology into learning signals the future of education. Morehouse is ensuring that its students are not just participants in the digital revolution but leaders of it. This is the kind of forward-thinking approach that will shape the next generation of leaders. I’m proud to support and celebrate Morehouse as it sets new standards for excellence in education. https://bit.ly/4gyBRvV

Founder & Executive Director, Critical Ecology Lab ☼ National Geographic Explorer ☼ Global Change Ecologist
A little bit more about the organization I am building with our small but mighty team! Critical Ecology Lab is operating differently-- more equitably-- than the climate and environmental research institutions of the past. The one's we defer to but are rooted in the colonization histories of our country. We're asking, what would science tell us about our changing planet if we asked different questions-- questions about our own histories on the land?
The Critical Ecology Lab makes many presentations for universities, nonprofit groups, and more. Few presentations make it onto the internet, but let's change that! We are eager to share our work and theory more broadly, so feel free to invite us to share with your community! Here's a little introduction to what the Critical Ecology Lab is and how we aim to show up in the world, transforming what we know about our changing planet, and how we aim to set a different course. Slides created by Suzanne Pierre, PhD 💫🌍
