Our hearts go out to our neighbors in western North Carolina who are grappling with the devasting impacts of Hurricane Helene. This storm resulted in unprecedented, immense damage ranging from flooded communities to tragic losses of life. North Carolina's Southeast has faced similar challenges with hurricanes over the years and we are all too familiar with the overwhelming and emotional road to recovery that follows such devastation. In times like these, North Carolinians always show strength and support as we help one another through the aftermath. This week, NC's Southeast will be contributing to organizations leading critical relief efforts in the impacted communities. We encourage you to give as you are able. Below, you'll find a list of trusted organizations that are on the frontlines of providing assistance and are in need of monetary and supply donations. Thank you for your generosity and for keeping our state in your thoughts as we recover.

Nice overview recently of Southeastern Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Center. Highly impressive facility with an array of mfg training segments. Also love that SCC has taken workforce training directly to high schools and other locations with a mobile training unit. SCC was one of four community colleges in the North Carolina’s Southeast region ranked by Smart Assets as a top 20 community college nationally. Others were Sandhills CC, Wayne CC, and James Sprunt CC. Four great assets in a region full of great economic development assets.
