Behind the Design of NOBULL Drive: Michael Schaeffer, NOBULL Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer along with Mike Kirtley, VP of Footwear Design, are back to fill us in on what went into the design process for NOBULL Drive. “This is NOBULL Drive, a new cardio-based running and training shoe from NOBULL that we’re super excited about. The main technology is the Pebax® foam that we use for the midsole.” - Mike “Pebax® is one of the best materials you can get from a performance perspective. It’s very lightweight. It has great cushioning properties, but also has a really nice rebound effect where it gives you energy back.” - Michael “In the name of NOBULL, and being really honest and straightforward in our technology, we wanted to use 100% Pebax®. We didn’t want to blend it with some other compound. It has this raw aesthetic, and we want to just own it and to be honest about it. So, we used 100% cellular Pebax® and went all in. From the outside, you can see is this really clean knit material with amazing stretch. On the inside we have reinforcement in the toe box and the quarter area, which makes the shoe incredibly stable, gives you a good lockdown.” - Mike “This shoe is extremely lightweight and it’s an honest way of showing what’s in it.” - Michael “No bullshit.
