Thank you to our partners both old and new who participated in an amazing day of breakout sessions yesterday! As always, one of the most relevant sessions for next gen, is navigating dating and how to approach relationships and wealth with healthy communication and trust. Anita Saggurti and Chip Fisher of Bank of America led a packed room of delegates through an interactive exercise to make sure members are prepared for how to handle dating and marriage. Veris Wealth Partners, LLC continues to educate and equip members on the most innovative approaches in the field of impact investing. Longtime partners Lori Choi, CFA and Roraj Pradhananga led members through a crash course on what they need to know to be more successful and impact impact investors! Ellevest rejoined NEXUS for a session on “AI and Impact Investing” led by Emily Green and Ankur Patel, CFA. With AI’s rapid growth, it was great to hear how evolving technology will be used to support and advance women and children in particular as it relates to education and healthcare. Thrilled to have Casey Verbeck from DAI back again to speak about nature based solutions, climate capital and how new approaches to financing nature and protecting nature can be rewarding and profitable. APCO's Akinyi Ochieng moderated an important discussion on navigating elections, geopolitics, and polarization. Historian and author Rutger Bregman and APCO’s Executive James Robinson beautifully laid out the threats to democracy the world is facing and how philanthropists and activists can respond. #WeAreNEXUS

The incredible I am BOSSI shared her personal story and got us rocking to kick off Friday's closing plenary! John Mack implored us that if we are to build responsible AI we must put humanity back into humane technology. Thank you to JAHA DUKUREH for showing us we can’t give up on hope, to Victor Santiago Pineda for proving our strength is only limited by our mindset, to Zainab Salbi for investing in women to protect mother earth and to Ronit Zimmer and Raed Abu leil for reminding us that peace-building in the Middle East is possible no matter the obstacles. #WeAreNEXUS

And we were wondering how we could possibly top last night! What a morning!!! Halim Flowers kicked us off by showing us the power of art and that anything is possible. Roya Mahboob and Ayda Haydarpour showed us true resilience and perseverance and Rutger Bregman helped restore our faith in humanity. Alexandra Cousteau talked about continuing her grandfather’s legacy to save the ocean before Greg Segal and Jennifer Erickson shed light on the organ donor crisis in the US and how they plan to solve it. Gitanjali Rao renewed our belief in the role innovation plays in finding the answer to everyday problems. What a morning of inspiration, education and calls to action for our fellow people and our planet! #WeAreNEXUS

What a way to start our 2024 Global Summit! Yesterday we started with a beautiful Indigenous Blessing from Owl and George Stonefish, were wow’d by Sparsh Shah, inspired by Kimmie Weeks and Jonathan Haidt, then called to action by both Christina Lewis and Elaine Welteroth to get involved in supporting underrepresented communities.
