Throughout his life, Richard Campana was committed to supporting our hospital's mission to provide exceptional community-based care. With the establishment of the Richard A. Campana Trust, his legacy will live on through the compassionate care we provide to our patients every day. Pictured here are Mr. Campana’s niece, Heidi, and her husband, James, commemorating his generous gift, which led to the naming of a patient room in our newly opened 5 East unit. In honor of #NationalRecoveryMonth, last month 2,125 flags were placed on our hospital’s front lawn, honoring the Massachusetts residents who tragically lost their lives to opioid overdose in 2023. Last week, our hospital staff and community members gathered in the Shipley Auditorium to hear from Newton Mayor Ruthanne Fuller and members of SOAR Natick, a support group for parents with children suffering from opioid addiction. We stand with those affected by substance use and are committed to raising awareness and offering support to our community.
