Last month, Associated Grocers of New England hosted their annual Fall Food Show, and at the end of the event, vendors donated their food items to the NH Food Bank! A total of 15,415lbs of assorted foods, including produce, protein, dairy, and non-perishables, as well as some household items were collected thanks to the help of our staff and volunteers! We're truly grateful for this continued partnership and the support of participating vendors.

Working together we can solve hunger.
About us
The New Hampshire Food Bank serves as the only food bank in the state, working to provide nutritious food and resources to the hundreds of thousands of New Hampshire residents that are food insecure. The Food Bank supplies millions of pounds of food annually to more than 400 partner agencies, including food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children’s programs, senior centers and more. In turn, these agencies provide hunger relief to those suffering from food insecurity throughout the state. While continuing to distribute nutritious food throughout the state to our partner agencies that help our neighbors in need, the New Hampshire Food Bank has evolved as an organization. Over the years, we have worked towards finding ways to fight the root causes of hunger through innovative programming aimed at empowering people to learn new skills, enabling them to become more self-sufficient and improve their quality of life.

After more than seven years as Executive Director of the NH Food Bank, Eileen Liponis is moving on to a new opportunity in the nonprofit sector here in New Hampshire. During her time at the Food Bank, Eileen placed nutrition at the forefront of what we do. Among her many accomplishments – Eileen spearheaded the Food Bank’s NH Feeding NH program, modeled after successful programs in Vermont and Maine. She also was integral in encouraging NH’s healthcare system to screen for The Hunger Vital Sign™, which offers healthcare providers a screening tool to identify households at risk of food insecurity. We’re grateful for her dedication to helping nourish those experiencing hunger here in NH, and hope you’ll join all of us at the NH Food Bank and Catholic Charities NH in wishing her all the best on her new adventures!

Yesterday we received a sweet delivery from Brookford Farm – 1,998 pounds of cantaloupe from their farm in Canterbury! 🍈 In August, they held their second annual Sunflower Soiree, where they generously committed to donating a pound of produce for each paid attendee! Cantaloupes are full of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber and water – not to mention they’re orange (on the inside)! A perfect, nutritious pairing for Hunger Action Month! 🧡 Thank you to Brookford Farm and all those who attended their Sunflower Soiree. This locally grown, nutritious food will help nourish our neighbors in all corners of the Granite State!
