Meet Trinity Martinez, a soon-to-be graduate from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Martinez will earn her journalism and media studies degree in just a few short weeks! 📓📝📸🎓 Martinez chose the NNSS for her internship because she wanted to see how she could implement her skillset into a field that differs from what journalism majors usually follow as their career path. She has spent this summer interning with Enterprise Infrastructure Programs and their Direct Programs team. So far, the NNSS has allowed her to apply the skills from her major while demonstrating how her capabilities can extend beyond what she learned in the classroom. #WeSecureAmericasFuture #nationalsecurity #NNSS #NNSSIntern #nnsspeople #nnssemployees #nnssemployee #nnsscommunity #wearenationalsecurity

Meet Tristan Nelson, a junior at Utah Valley University (UVU), majoring in emergency management with an emphasis on leadership. Nelson also plays hockey for the UVU Wolverines. 🐺 Aside from Nelson’s UVU obligations, he is an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) working at a fire station in Northern Utah and as a volunteer AEMT at UVU. He is also working to obtain his paramedic and firefighter certifications. 🚑👨🏻🚒🚒 For Nelson’s internship in the Security and Emergency Services directorate, he is ensuring facility evacuation maps include the locations of automatic external defibrillators, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and ‘you are here’ designators. This is his first summer with the NNSS, and he looks forward to learning more about incident prevention, mitigation, and management techniques. #WeSecureAmericasFuture #nationalsecurity #NNSS #NNSSIntern #nnsspeople #nnssemployees #nnssemployee #nnsscommunity #wearenationalsecurity
