✈️ Behind Every Elite Performance is Top-Notch Training ✈️ The US Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, Blue Angels may be known for their awe-inspiring aerial demonstrations, but the real story of their success starts with the Navy's commitment to exceptional training. One such example is Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Anthony Munoz, who began his journey at Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (NATTC) and now serves in the Blue Angels’ airframes shop. Munoz reflects on the critical role Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) and its programs played in shaping his Navy career, stating, "NATTC set the foundation for me being comfortable with being uncomfortable. That set the tone for my career." Interested in becoming part of the Blue Angels? The Navy is now accepting applications for 2026, offering a unique opportunity for E-5/E-6 personnel to join one of the most prestigious teams in the Navy. Leading an organization with at least 17 different cultures based on military specialities - each with their own language and values - ensuring that there is a clear understanding of Commander’s Intent and Direction and Guidance can be challenging. So keep it short, simple and readable. And focus it on universal principles. And then reinforce it over, and over, and over………..🥵 MyNavyHR Naval Education and Training Command US Navy U.S. Pacific Fleet U.S. Fleet Forces Command #KISS

Building the Fleet’s foundation: The last few months have been a whirlwind of intense teamwork and performance improvement. It’s time to come up for air (and to take a little bit of a knee). With Navy Recruiting Command‘s sustained superior performance and U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command (RTC)’s core of professionals molding our Nation’s young men and women into whole and competent Sailors the US Navy is closing the gap with Apprentices at sea. If you have a minute, select this link: https://lnkd.in/eBxecrUu How did this happen? Knowing our business. But in order to know, you have have to orient to the challenges and understand where leverage exists. That orienting took a while in order to decide what levers to pull. But couldn’t have been accomplished without the Naval Education and Training Command team. One of that team recently retired, William Hendricks (“FAB”- Colonel of Marines). He was my conscience, translator and fire and forget weapon system. Thanks FAB - you are missed, wherever you decide to hang your hat will need to put on their seatbelts - you are an accelerant! Kent Miller is the Navy Force Development subject matter expert who is always able to derive root cause, and he is my Executive Director. Clifford Collins, Jr. is my Chief of Staff - able to drive the Navy’s largest shore command, encompassing all 17 communities in the Navy and is the Commanding Officer of the Headquarters Staff - having been a “COS” I can confidently state that the responsibilities and workload of a COS are immense and consuming. …and that’s just the NETC headquarters. RADM Jim Waters and Craig Mattingly are fellow Commanders in the Force Development domain. They lead recruiting efforts and ALL accession training for the US Navy, respectively. Their wisdom, experience and judgment coupled with their superb ability to assess and mitigate risk is how a complex organization with the aforementioned 17 different cultures accelerates improvement. If I could distill the key to success down to one single principle - it would be this: “Set your organization up to know if it’s winning or losing every day.” Be deliberate with what you measure and very intentional with HOW you respond to challenges. My goal was to cut loose the power of our Sailors, from E-1 to O-8. The pictures are from this past Thursday at Great Lakes. 3,400 loved ones in the audience watched over 900 Sailors join the Fleet. Are you winning? Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) MyNavyHR U.S. Pacific Fleet U.S. Fleet Forces Command
