After years of planning and testing alternative tracking technologies, the ad industry’s cries have finally been heard. Google has reversed its decision to phase out #thirdpartycookies and will now prioritize giving users more control over their privacy and tracking preferences within #Chrome as an alternative. For those who have poured time and effort into third-party cookie alternatives, fear not: Google stated that they will continue supporting and improving these alternatives in the Privacy Sandbox.
